Went for dinner with my best friend on Valentine’s Day as a last minute decision and was pleasantly surprised. Service was great; the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks were also very good. I had the beef short rib , which was impeccable. 10/10 —very tender and is made in house. Kudos to our server Kayley for her service and stamina going up and down the stairs all night. Amazing night and would definitely come back 🙂

WOW! a must-visit spot. The avocado toast is a true standout. Topped with pepitas, grilled corn, and crumbled queso fresco, it’s a unique and delicious twist on a classic with perfectly prepared eggs by a very skilled chef. Our server, Alex is impeccable-is arguably the best server in Raleigh—attentive, fast, and constantly working and moving.

I’ve eaten at Good Day Good Night quite a few times throughout the years and I’ve never been swayed enough one way or another to properly take the time and sit down and give a review until now. Before, the food was perfectly serviceable for a hotel restaurant. It had common plates and was a perfectly whelming experience that may have been a little pricey for what you got. But now?

Now I would argue Good Day Good Night is a true gem in Raleigh’s culinary crown. The new menu by Chef Devin is really something special. Fusion is always a big buzzword, but you can tell each item on the streamlined menu has been so meticulously crafted with care. Cornbread inspired by their grandparents, andoullie croquettes, and probably the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had in my life, and I just straight up hate shrimp and grits on any other day. This isn’t your usual hotel restaurant fare. They did not have to go this hard, and yet they have someone that detests the very idea of bananas, wanting to try their banana creme brulee all over again for the very first time.

The plating is amazing, the staff are all super friendly and incredibly meticulous, and Amanda was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. The cocktails weren’t watered down and reasonably priced. Literally the only negative I can possibly come up with, is that the kale slaw just wasn’t for me. And that’s absolutely personal preference.

If you haven’t been to Good Day Good Night recently, you need to take the time to experience this new menu. You’ll be glad you gave the restaurant another chance. And if you’ve never been before, please take the chance to experience one of the most underappreciated restaurants in a booming culinary capital. Good Day Good Night is really a cut above and I can only hope to see how the menu continues to evolve.

We enjoyed our New Year’s Eve dinner! Our server, Jamie, was excellent! We enjoyed the baked Brie and cheese plate for 2 for appetizers. For entrees, we had salmon, pork tenderloin, and the New York strip. For sides, we had the Brussels (so good!) and the wild mushrooms. Everything was prepared perfectly and to the right temperature. Wine and Old Fashioned were good as well! We will return!

Amazing night out! We were nervous bringing our kiddo but they treated him like royalty and we all loved every minute! Attentive wait staff, amazing interior design, and phenomenal food! We loved the tacos, burgers, and kids grilled cheese. Fries were great and so was the ice cream. Great drink selection, too. We will definitely be back!

During our recent stay at The Origin Hotel, we enjoyed our dinner at the on-site restaurant. While the bar was starting to fill up, the restaurant was very quiet. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The decor is really trendy and eclectic. The restaurant is very inviting and makes you want to stay a while and enjoy the food and company.

We enjoyed our summer cocktails – Watermelon Sugar (pictured) and Tiki River – which were perfect summer flavors. I will note that the Watermelon Sugar cocktail does not mention a mint flavor and I would probably ask for this to be left out when ordered again.

Our dinner was equally delicious. We had the OG Burger with cheese and Naked Chicken Wings. Both pictured. If we ordered the burger with cheese again, I would request only 1 slice of cheese as 3 slices was a bit thick for the burger. The hand cut fries were delicious and flavorful. They were crispy on the outside and not flimsy like some hand cut fries. The wings were crispy and flavorful as well. I will add that a sprinkle of salt is added to the wings, so if you truly want naked wings then ask for no finishing seasoning as well.

We were too full to try dessert, but this will definitely be somewhere we visit again for a great casual date night meal.

This restaurant is located inside of the Origin Hotel. The service and food are excellent! We dined here on our first night in Raleigh. It was convenient to take a short walk downstairs and have a nice cozy restaurant to dine in. The meal was fresh, well presented and prepared in a timely manner. Our waitress and other staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable and pleasant.
Items are a bit pricey but the portions are huge!! I recommend the burger, nachos and truffle fries.
The hotel bar is nice as well and is centrally located, as they provide drink orders placed in the restaurant.

I enjoyed myself at this restaurant. The staff was so wonderful and always polite. The food was cooked at the right temperature, well seasoned, hot and fresh. Must try the Blackened Pork Ribeye. The drinks are amazing. I really enjoyed the atmosphere with the music playlist.

We stumbled across the place and was greatly pleased. Alex seated and served us and did a phenomenal job of making sure we were taken care of. The food for both of us was delicious, though it was my wife’s avocado toast and Strawberry basil mimosa stole the show. The additian of pumpkin seeds and grilled corn set it over the top.We definitely recommend this place.

Sweet experience at one of Raleigh’s newest scenes! With a plant-forward, local partner-centric menu with delicious protein options, Good Day Good Night was an amazing choice to celebrate my husband’s birthday in the middle of a pandemic.

We enjoyed the hard cider, burger, Pad Thai, complimentary flourless chocolate cake & coffee.

The Pad Thai was chock full of
flavor and texture with fresh noodled vegetables.

The customer experience was superb with thoughtful and attentive wait staff. As was the classy but slightly eccentric & complex decor. Bright, colorful and cheery during the day, as evening came, the open concept restaurant area mood lighting was the perfect scene for our dessert and americano made with Larry’s beans. We’ll be back!
