Reviews
Second time I get them and yes on my review I consider the degrade of food during transportation “TO GO”…
Both red and green chilaquiles are one of the worst I have ever had, let’s focus on the RED sauce chilaquiles.
1- The sauce is out of a can and does not have a good taste, it has a big BLAND taste, no salt, seasoning, it’s super red that later you will see the color red again… if you know what I mean.
2- The tortilla chips are the WRONG chips to use for a sauce, they are like the “tostitos restaurant style original” bag from the shelf.
3- I ordered with meat and the meat had no salt or seasoning, at least sprinkle some salt.
4- eggs had no flavor, at least add a bit of salt.
5- Rice and beans were good.
In CONCLUSION, you will eat mostly a paste of red dough under the eggs and meat that could use a bit of garlic, salt, cumin, maybe a bit or oregano and onion powder at MINIMUM! There is nothing like a real sauce even when partial mix with a can sauce. As for the chips they should maybe get supplied from the tortilla chips they sell like at Superior Grocers instead of your cheap masa chips design for chips and salsa only that break when scooping up salsa and the spicy salsa on the side did not help at all.
By nature chilaquiles should be spicy, these were 0 zero spicy and I get it not everyone likes spicy but the green chilaquiles were slightly spicy compared to the red ones.
Very generic food, its manufactured in a lazy way to save a few bucks rather than cooking it, there is no effort into it other than preparing it so thank you cooks for the good work into following the instructions
I’m sure other items are good, I also order machaca for my daughter and that one was tasty but chilaquiles need to be removed or changed.
The flavors take you back to the homeland. Huge portions with a fantastic, friendly service on an immaculate establishment. We tried the Pambazo – it was HUGE and tasted delicious. My wife had the cheese enchiladas and they were just as good. The only odd issue was that you’re not able to mix and match an enchilada plate – never heard of that before. But besides that, everything was on point. We will be back and recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican meal.
I wasn’t able to get photos of my grandchildren’s taco or burrito meals, since they devoured them before I took my phone/camera out.
Thank you to Alexia for her wonderful & friendly service, and to the chef(s) for a job well done.
