Traveling from Yakima, Washington to Nampa, ID and found an awesome little hole in the wall place with great food and friendly service. Clean and quiet with bright colors and decor. Seating for large families or large groups. We’d eat here again!

Service was excellent but the flautas were very overcooked and probably the worst I’ve ever had. $24 for the flautas and a drink also seems excessive. Other reviews were good and the tacos are very reasonable so maybe ordering the special was a bad idea.

Gonzaga is a gem, tucked into the corner of strip mall. It’s close to the freeway and well worth the stop. I ordered a carne asada torta, and the albondogas soup. I knew I was going to take some home before I ordered. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito, but it doesn’t count because he was too busy eating to let me down customary photos before eating.
Okay back to my my experience. When we arrived, the restaurant was spotlessly clean. The layout of the tables was perfect. An amazing lady served us a bowl of beans with salsa, and store bought chips. The brand and salsa were amazing, and I couldn’t stop eating them. We placed our order and our meal was delivered in a short period of time. But, I was content eating the chips and beans. I wanted to lick the serving bowl, but there was another family in the restaurant. The carne asada torta was HUGE, and each bite offered a great combination of flavors. I was only able to eat half the torta before I was sadly full. I wanted to eat more, but had to push the plate away from me, and wiggle my body to help digest the food quicker.
But wait, there is more – the albondogas soup. I had never tried it before and have been seeing a lot of recipes lately. To my surprise, it is an amazing broth with fresh veggie like cabbage, zucchini, and cabbage, along with meatballs. On the side was choice of corn or flour tortillas, cilantro, lime, onions, and Spanish rice. I asked the server how to eat it since I had never had it before. She was kind, and explained how it is traditionally eaten.
I highly recommend trying this place, you will not be disappointed!

We were stopping in Ontario and found this restaurant based on the reviews. It was excellent! We had Birria and fish tacos as well as the tamales. All were delicious and fresh. Definitely coming back on our next trip.

Food was good. New place. Try it out! The beans and salsa were amazing! I got the pork burrito, it was super good. Hubby got the menudo, and he loved it. Our waitress was very personable, kind and accommodating. Ordered some tamales to take home. The house made chile was great. The mild was mild with a good flavor. The hot one was spicy but not to spicy you couldn’t taste your food. 10/10 coming again

I really didn’t want to make dinner tonight but if I knew it would have been so expensive for 4 plates and a drink I would have made the dinner myself. The chicken is hard and not even enjoyable for paying $77 dollars. They don’t list prices and I guess that makes sense now.

Not many places can have tamales that are tender and not dried out. Fantastic food and friendly staff. I will 100% be back for more tamales!
