While the exterior appeared a little dingy, especially on a cold and rainy night, I found the inside to be clean, warm, and inviting. There is a big bar and plenty of seating, and the whole area is decorated in a quaint maritime theme.

My waitress was friendly and answered all my questions about the menu, happily going to the kitchen to find answers she didn’t readily have. The service was not slow.

I started with the soup which was broccoli cheddar. It was beautifully smooth and creamy, not gloppy and starchy like at some places where soup is an afterthought. The broccoli flavor was fresh and punchy. It came with oyster crackers, which I’m a fan of.

My dinner was a nice slab of fresh salmon baked with a horseradish cream sauce on top. They did not hold back with the horseradish and I found the bold combination to be delightful. The garlic mashed potatoes were as delicious as the waitress described. The vegetable medley (an add on; the meal only came with a starch side) were a little soggy but acceptable.

I noticed some tables indulging in the prime rib special and it did look tasty.

Dessert left a bit to be desired. I asked for the caramel apple pie a la mode and was brought out a rather tiny slice. The filling was OK but had sort of homogenized, and the crust on the pie was just mush, indicating that it might have been around past it’s prime. The cost for dessert was a whopping $7.50, and I could have done much better with that money at a local ice cream parlor.

Overall, dinner was great. The price for the main meal and soup were very competitive- I think the salmon with vegetables was around $20. I would definitely stop here again for dinner, and maybe just go somewhere else for dessert.

Great food and location! We went on a Saturday night and enjoyed some really good food. The crispy eggplant is a delicious treat. I ordered the pan fried seafood with linguine and it was cooked perfectly. My wife got a prime rib dinner. Service was excellent (thanks Denise!) only marked down a star because for 6pm on Saturday night it seemed quiet in our area – which suited us

Was visiting my mom in Upstate NY over the past weekend. Was looking for a place to grab a bit to eat on Friday, some locals I know recommended Gone Coastal for their fish fry. I was not disappointed at all, as a matter of fact I was given dinner and a show.. Dee and Emily were entertaining and polite. The fish fry was amazing.

Went back for the Prime Rib on Saturday and was amazed at the amount of food for the price. It was also amazing. Did not hesitate to return Sunday for the Turkey dinner special and was once amazed at the quality and quantity of the food.
All 3 nights the staff was fast and friendly. Venue was clean and nicely decorated. I will definitely be back on my next Upstate NY visit.

Food was decent but lacked some flavor. I got the grouper fried sandwich, it had very little seasoning and the bun was soggy but the aioli and coleslaw was good. My husband got the burger on waffles , it was good but a little overly sweet.

Ordered a fishbowl drink – it was a very SMALL fishbowl for $15

I really enjoy Gone Coastal. Friendly service, they’re usually quick with to-go orders if you call ahead, and everything I’ve had has been tasty. The sausage and spinach pasta is my go to. It sounds and looks simple but it is very, very good.

I ordered the Gemelini or something. The pasta was delicious, but the chicken was the most disgusting chicken I have ever tried. I thought the menu described it as grilled chicken, but it was boiled beyond recognition. The waitress asked how things were, I told her the chicken was gross and she did nothing. No discount, no free drink, nothing.

On a Sunday afternoon, we figured we’d try something new on the way home period my 10-year-old son, and I the atmosphere. You ask drunken older individuals, laughing and carrying and well. I’m trying to have a conversation with my 10-year-old son, yelling and screaming at each other. About whatever I can’t even have a conversation over the table with my ten year old. The food was good service was okay. Prices a little bit steep, but we will not be stopping again.
