Authentic Japanese ramen, reimagined to suit the modern palate. Established as one of Hawaii’s original ramen spots, Gomaichi combines bold island flavors with authentic Japanese technique. Guests love the rich, creamy “Goma” (sesame) ramen, fast service, and casual, no-frills atmosphere that keeps locals and tourists coming back for comforting, flavorful bowls.

We used to eat here every week after school when it was open on Ke’eaumoku street. When it closed we were really sad but the flavor always stayed in our minds and nothing ever came close. I am so happy to be able to eat the Kimura Ohana’s Tan Tan Men again! They were voted best in Hawai’i for a reason back in the day!

Got the signature tan tan ramen and it was a lil spicy and delicious. I do prefer more of a meat flavor though
Rating 4/5
The gyozas were 3.5/5
The fries alone made this restaurant worth it- I can’t stress enough how good they were 1000/5
Waitress was sweet but busy took a while to get water refilled

Sesame #1 incredible service & the food was spectacular. The chicken karaage here, yeah give me 14 of those. Tan tan & tonkatsu ramens were both really good.

Great to see this sleek new noodle spot in the Whole Foods shopping center on PCH. There are broth choices from spicy to mild and all the traditional favorites are there. The banbanji chicken appetizer was light and refreshing and a great starter. The ramen was very flavorful and had a great punch and the pork was very tender and fell apart. The service was fast and very friendly and they had no problem making a substitution of chicken instead of pork on the ramen. Overall the food here was very good, and the restaurant is very clean and bright. The warm service is another reason we will be returning and trying the rest of the menu. This might be our new Ramen joint… stop in and give it a try.

Excellent ramen with so many sauce and ingredient options – I loved the ground pork instead of pork belly. Atmosphere is clean, though a little bright inside (my husband wore his sunglasses!) but it’s worth it for fast, delicious ramen with lots of options! Highly recommend and definitely will be going back!

Walking in it looked very promising! Condiment trays at every table including soy, vinegar, pepper mix, and chili oil… Service was very quick, thoughtful, and attentive
I ordered gyoza and “Tonkotsu Light”. The gyōza were incredible! Cooked just right, filling had flavor and was juicy
Then the ramen came. To start, there was pickled ginger on top. I’ve never seen that before in ramen state-side or in Japan. I’ve never heard of Tonkotsu light, but when I took a sip of the broth, I understood why. It had very little flavor, no depth at all. When I mixed it all together the ginger dominated and was really all I could taste. I tried adding soy and chili oil but it didn’t help much. The noodles were a bit thin but cooked well, just the right bite. Bok choy was overcooked with no crunch. There’s hope here, if the broth were developed more and ditch the ginger, they’re on the right track. The egg could also use seasoning

I recently visited this place with my friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed the service and the amazing atmosphere. My food was personally really good, but my friend mentioned that hers was a bit bland, so she had to add spices. Despite this minor issue, the overall experience was pleasant, and we would definitely consider returning. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff was attentive, making our visit memorable. We appreciated the effort put into creating a welcoming environment, and it added to our enjoyment of the meal.

I’m officially obsessed.
First it was the Sung Hon Ramen—rich, crave-worthy broth and noodles with that silky chew…
Then I came back for the Tan Tan Ramen—creamy, spicy, nutty, and straight-up addictive.
Now I’m convinced: Gomachi is a 10 out of 10.
The service? Pretty solid.
But the ramen and the spicy pickles? Even better.
This cozy little South Redondo spot has officially earned a place in my rotation. Whether you’re a broth lover, spice chaser, or just need a hot bowl that hits every time—Gomachi gets it right.
Pro tip: Get extra pickles. Trust me.

Food looked good, but didn’t taste as good as it looked. It wasn’t bad, but not impressive either. Service was… disappointed. Long wait time for the table was understandable, but looooooooooooong wait time for the food was really unexpected. Waitresses were friendly, but that was all about them. Table and dishes were a bit dirty. We had to wipe them cleaned before sitting or using them. The restaurant is small and it was pretty noisy during my visit. If you are hungry, I don’t recommend going to this restaurant. If you are looking for extraordinary ramen, I would recommend you seek somewhere else. But if you are not in rush, not hungry, and want to try yet another ramen, you can try this restaurant.
