I ordered the rib and chicken dinner my 2 sides were potato salad, baked beans and a side of Mac and cheese First I had 3 rib tips and a partial tip I asked the owner about the ribs not being whole he’s exact words I do not make the pork I replied ok the potato salad was store bought trust me when it’s crunchy on the inside That is not homemade with no flavor, the beans were just that beans with bbq sauce, pass on the Mac and cheese you have been warned do not waste your Money the 1/2chicken was tender I liked that but NO SAUCE? I also ordered sausage and potato logs which are French fries cut in large portions those were ok but the Sausage do Not waste your Money No flavor my dog would not eat it literally. I also ordered the brisket sandwich which is not a sandwich at all it was just meat put on the side with 2 slices of bread on top No Sauce? I had to ask for it, Now that brisket was hands down the absolutely most amazing cut of meat with flavor and I had the mango habanero wings which is just breaded fried wings with sauce sweet and tangy not spicy but they were good also, a lot of people came in ordering burgers or the fish, the cashier was quick to let you know about the tip but I didn’t have a waitress? Finally The decor of the restaurant was good nice area, looked clean but take your own soap in the bathroom there was none.

This is a great local bbq restaurant in the town of Atmore, Al. We stopped in for lunch and found the customer service very helpful and kind and the food delicious. We enjoyed a ribs dinner which comes with two sides, and we chose, pictured below, yams and Mac and cheese (12.99). The sauce was really good and the rib meat literally fell off the bone. It came with two pieces of bread. We also got a beef sandwich (6.97), which was truly packed with beef. It wasn’t a very long wait and the customers were coming in and out consistently on an off time Saturday afternoon, showing the locals love it. I was also thankful they share their Christian faith right on the wall of the restaurant. Five stars.

Stopped here while passing through. The food was excellent and the service was quick and friendly. I ordered a pulled pork dinner and the portion size was enormous. Turnip greens were perfectly seasoned, the cornbread was moist and the potato salad was on point. Stop by if you wanna get fed!

They only had wings for lunch and I’m so not a wing person. But my boyfriend is so he ordered them. Well… I guess that now I am a wing person. Best wings I’ve ever had. Well roasted with a smoky taste. Not the greasy version I’m used to. It’s a shame that we’re only passing through.

The restaurant is clean, the staff friendly, the food excellent. We were traveling back to our home in east Alabama, and wanted a sit down meal. Using google maps we found BBQ restaurants. We chose Gold’s. We ordered ribs, pulled pork, collard greens, mac/cheese, and yams. The portions were large enough that we had leftovers the next day and they were just as tasty.

The BBQ here is the best I’ve had so far during my road trip through the south. The pulled pork was juicy and the meat from the ribs was falling off the bone. The BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet. I ordered the coleslaw and collard greens as a side, both did not disappoint. Some of the best coleslaw I’ve had. Definitely worth stopping here for food if you’re passing by.

One of the friendliest staffs I have ever had the pleasure of dining with. The chicken, ribs, and pork were awesome. The portions were huge. And the key lime cake was amazing! We don’t live anywhere near here, but we will definitely be back!

We’re from Wisconsin and I wasn’t sure what to order, so they brought me a sample of beef and pork. I chose the pork, then a man came out with two ribs for us to “try” while we waited for our food. They were so happy, friendly, and very nice to us. A definite place to go back to. 🙂

Great BBQ. You can’t go wrong with Gold’s Pulled Pork Plate, or their great tasting Ribs. Nice, friendly service. We usually do the take out, and call our order in. Fast Service, with warm food. 5 Stars Plus !!
