Goldie’s is my staple, go to, burger spot in downtown. I’ve had burgers, buffalo chicken sandwich and the loaded fries, and they’ve never disappointed. The fries are always crispy and the loaded fries are a meal on their own.
Seating is quite limited inside and they’re very busy so I recommend ordering ahead for pickup. My order is always ready when I walk in the door.

Going against the crowd for the first time, I found the burgers to be quite underwhelming not offensive but horrible non the less. For the same quantity you near a price point comparable to Burger Factory I wouldn’t touch this place with a ten foot pole, the patty size was small, more akin to Smashburger. The service was decent enough, but the restaurant’s atmosphere was strange – a blank, cold space that lacked any warmth or character. Overall 2/10 experience would not recommend.

Everything is fresh and delicious at Goldie’s. The burgers are great as are their loaded fries. The chicken tenders use real chicken breast, I believe, and come straight from the fryer. You wouldn’t want to be productive after eating here. There’s some seating there and it is all clean.

Unfortunately, not the best experience and probably won’t be coming back. The food was dry and the prices are expensive. I see the potential of having good tasting food but for the portion size and the cost, I’d probably go elsewhere. I ordered 2 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich, chili fries, and jalapeno fries. Each were dry in their own way. I also had to wait 40 mins for my food to be prepared. I tried calling 10 times that night but no answer. Their slushy float was delicious though.

Had the classic burger with impossible patties (vegetarian option) twice now. First time I had the single patty, and all I could really taste was everything else in it. Very uninspired. Today I spent the extra three bucks for a double patty. What a difference. Flavour exploded with that second patty. Likely my second favourite burger, which is saying something.
Their fries are amazing, some of the best around. Fountain drinks seem hit and miss imo. Root beer was terrible, but the gingerale was solid. Basically $20 for my meal (double patty, fries and drink). No need to upsize fries if you’re the only one eating them, pretty reasonable portion. Not a fan of the in-house ketchup, but we get our meals to go so I just use mine at home.

The meat is delicious. Nice smash burger. I could eat 3 and still want more. Not because it isn’t filling, the flavouring is on point. Those crispy bits on the edge. The fries were nice, crispy and fresh. Love that fountain pop too. Service is fast and efficient. The 3 guys do it all! Cook, clean, and serve.

You all know the food is fire though… This is about customer service. 1/5.. and they only get a 1 for quick response time.. even if it was to just point the blame to me. To keep it short this business needs a serious reality check when it comes to customer service. Owner Joel does not respond to constructive criticism or feedback well. This has discouraged me as well as friends from St. Joe’s, the Y and Jackson Square from returning.

October 26: owner Joel took the time to reach out personally this morning and make things right. Virtual Visa will not work due to the high percentage rate. I am very grateful for Joel following up because I love that hot honey chicken sandwich and the gold standard with jalepenos and I don’t think I can live without.

Absolutely great food experience. If you’re looking for a quality burger at a decent price then look no further than Goldie’s. The smashburgers were super delicious and the accompanying sauces very flavourful. The krinkle cut fries were a nice touch and were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The handmade chicken tenders were no slouch either. Handcrafted and cooked to perfection the hot honey sauce on the side was the perfect addition. We finished the meal off with a Goldie’s sundae and I must say it was simply divine. Everything was on point. Not just a great concept is Goldie’s but the execution is spot on as well. Sometimes the devil is in the details and this place has everything figured out. You can bet that there was plenty of research put in before opening this establishment and I can assure you that it has paid off. If you are concerned about parking there are plenty of metered spots on the adjacent streets and parking lots as well. Check this joint out and I promise that you will not be disappointed.

As always goldies delivers. I was pumped as the owner is a friend of a friend but didn’t expect it to be that good. Not to mention my fiance is vegetarian and not only did they have a veggie burger option (chicken aswell) but they even SMASHED the veggie burger! Unreal. Super good experience. Highly recommended

BURGER UNDERCOOKED. Very unfortunate experience. I had two combos and both weren’t cooked properly.
Called the manager and sent the pic of my burger. They were apologetic and offered replacement combos. I wasn’t sure I wanted to go back, but I wanted to support a local business. I wasn’t going to post this review until I got to the store to get my replacement combos and they said they will only replace one.
Terrible customer service and underwhelming food, even when it’s cooked properly.
Edit: after seeing this review they reached out and apologized and covered the combo that I paid for.
