Came here after watching Gators vs Hurricanes baseball game. (Go Canes, 13-6) and I’ll say I enjoyed my cheeseburger very much. The interior was pretty cool. Food came out pretty quickly considering there seemed to be only two employees working. So here come my two complaints, like I said once we ordered food, it came out quickly but it still took a good minute to place your order as cashier kept going to the back to help out. They seem to need more employees. My only other complaint was my daughter’s chicken tenders were crazy overcooked and kinda burnt, I only realized after she was almost done and I took a bite out of one of them. So all that being said when I’m up in the area again I would totally come back.

We’ve worked in Gainesville for 3 years and have always wanted to stop here, but it’s always been closed by the time we get here. Very happy we stopped by today for lunch since we only waited a few minutes for 2 people to order food before us. Really short wait time (maybe 7-10 minutes?) and the food was fresh, tasty, and satisfying. We ordered a cheeseburger, onions rings, and buttermilk chicken tenders with a side of spicy Cajun sauce and vegan ranch. Onion rings and chicken tenders were crispy and well-done; went great with the sauces. A bit on the oily side, but tasted great and didn’t affect the extra crispy texture. Burger was good and tasted clean. Very happy we got exactly what we ordered.

Entire order cost $23 with tip – worth the trip and levels better in quality / freshness than Dick Mondell’s and any other fast food burger in the area at a more affordable price.

Super fun, worth every dollar spent! An open floor plan, plenty of fresh air on the balcony, every kids dream about this place! They sell ice cold canned sodas, Gatorades, fresh food, the BEST onion rings and burgers! I will be trying their entire menu and taking pics next time. Although the pics don’t do justice to how fresh, crispy, savory, and delicious the foods there are. They even sell ice cream bars, and so much more! My family is slightly obsessed with this place and huge fans! My kids and I walked here and chose this spot over a pizza place, and we were highly satisfied and well fed. Thank you so much for the kindness and patience with my rowdy energetic kids! You guys are the best burgers around! What a wonderful family memory made here the other day.

I ordered a double – petty double cheese melt burger. It was 9.75$.
The burger was really good. It was a little bit salty to me. As it was with double American cheese(melted), so the cheese already contributes to the salt. Maybe extra salt added for the burger might be causing that little bit salty effect.
But overall the burger was really good. It was best tested with a mixture of mustard and ketchup on the side. You can just prepare it as they have plenty of those.

The customer service has been really bad and condescending recently. The girl with the dark curly hair was extremely rude to me this evening (1/10/25 around 5:45pm). Even with that, I was polite and waited 15+ mins to order. When they decided to open back up the girl told me and my wife to go to the back or the line, which seems openly aggressive and mean. It was fairly clear she wanted to mess with us. So, we left. Won’t be recommending Goldie’s anymore, which saddens me to no end.

Discovered Goldie’s a few weeks ago while searching for the BEST burger in the GNV area. I originally planned to visit a different establishment on that day but they were closed – I ended up stopping by Goldie’s instead… & I’m glad I did. Goldie’s has entered my top 5. Great smashburger with a twist – sesame bun, really great speciality sauce – tasty/well seasoned patties. Also tried the shrimp bahn mi, that felt more like a po’boy. Great in concept but I personally think it would’ve been better with Po’ boy ingredients.. and that’s coming from a bahn mi lover. The fries were simple seasoned crinkle fries. I also love that they introduce special items that they serve from time to time. Overall I rated the overall experience a 9.5 only 2 burger spots were rated higher on my list. Keep up the great work Goldie’s. My favorite burger spot in GNV thus far.

Came here with my family for lunch last Wednesday, the place was empty with the exception of one other guy in front of us. On our turn, for some odd reason, the cashier up front (long, thin, drawn on eyebrows, thick, black winged eyeliner and short hair) was incredibly abrasive and curt with me specifically, but all around treated my family pretty rudely. I don’t know what was the issue, we were polite the entire time despite the attitude; she told us to “slow down,” “speak up chief,” “are you talking to me or what is going on” and frankly ruined the first impression for me.
We ordered 5 burgers (3 singles and 2 doubles), 2 sides of loaded tots and 3 waters. The pattys were pretty thin, and the whole thing kind of seems tossed together but it tasted alright. My mom didn’t eat hers, but everyone else seemed satisfied with their meal. The setting is nice and really pretty by the lake, I thought it must be a nice spot to people watch or hang out with some friends.
All in all, I probably won’t come back, customer service matters to me and they dropped the ball. The burgers are good, and setting is cool.
