I can’t believe we just found this place! Such great Chinese food and a nice atmosphere that isn’t “fast food” which seems to be everywhere anymore.
We love the BBQ pork, Moogoo gai pan and Mongolian beef… so far! Can’t wait to try more! Definitely a go to

Hands-down the best Chinese restaurant in Arizona
Golden Wok is my absolute favorite restaurant in the entire state of Arizona — and that’s not an exaggeration. I’ve been coming to this owner’s restaurants for well over 18 years, dating back to her original spot on 32nd Street (Little Peking). When that location closed, I was beyond happy when she reopened as Golden Wok. It’s been my go-to ever since.
This is by far the best Chinese food in the state. I’ve introduced countless people to this place — including family members who truly know good Chinese food — and everyone agrees.
My personal go-to dishes are the sizzling rice soup and beef with broccoli. My son absolutely loves the orange chicken, and my wife’s favorite is the chow fun noodles. The dumplings are phenomenal across the board.
We’ve celebrated birthdays, holidays, and even Christmas Day here over the years. The owners feel like family, and that warmth and care shows in everything they do.
The pricing is fair, the portions are generous, and the quality is consistently excellent. It’s not flashy or trendy — just a true hidden gem tucked away in a corner, the kind of place locals swear by.

Had a really excellent experience here today. A lovely Wonton Soup that was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and again fresh and delicious. They have actual brewed Chinese hot tea which is so hard to find these days. The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant clean and inviting. So happy to find a nice new Chinese restaurant and can’t wait to try their lunch and dinner specials.

The Orange Chicken was definitely the highlight of our visit this time. It struck that nice balance of sweet and savory, served with perfectly cooked rice. The Pork Potstickers were also pretty good, and the Egg Drop Soup delivered that comforting flavor and warmth you’d expect.
The House Chow Mein was a bit plain. While not bad, it wasn’t memorable enough to specifically order again. Similarly, the Thai Spicy Basil Chicken, while decent, was fairly mild on the spice level and left us wanting more spicy and flavor.
Service was consistently attentive throughout our visit, with the team making sure we had everything we needed.

Nice atmosphere and everything we had was delicious. The vegetable egg roll was more like a spring roll but was good. Orange beef was nice and crispy with great flavor that was not overpowering. My husband loved the General Tso chicken and the service was timely, accurate, and pleasant. Definitely going back.

On our latest visit, we ordered the sizzling rice soup which had great flavor and large shrimps, the chicken egg roll (more traditional egg roll) and the orange beef again, which was still crispy and tasty. Food is always phenomenal here!!! Me and my wife make it a point to stop by here every time we are in the area. We have made the decision to make an hour drive just to come here on a few occasions. There lunch specials are an awesome deal and the egg drop soup that comes with them are awesome. The staff here are very nice and provide quick service. The atmosphere is full of nice regulars that also love this place.

Friendly and great customer service at this location. We ordered egg fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, and Mongolian beef. All three dishes were great! The shrimp had a little too much mayo but love the crispness and how big the shrimps were. The Mongolian beef was very tender and love the sauce it is in. It definitely went well with the egg fried rice. I wish the portions were larger as it was for sharing. However, it was enough for two people for three dishes we ordered. I love the ambience and the decor of the restaurant. Nice quiet place to dine as a family or on a date. I recommend checking the place out if you are in the Paradise Valley neighborhood. Overall, 4 stars for me due to the portion size for the price.

the food is bland. portions small very little meat mostly onion. Served me in a produce box. Had to ask for fork. Kung pow tastes like boiled food with no flavor. They gave me more meat when i complained about my dish being mostly onions so at least thats good. Overall terrible quality food and service and cheap owners.
