Dim sum, stir-fries & lunch specials are among the draws at this casual Pan-Asian eatery.

Came here for lunch and was so impressed with everything. The food was absolutely delicious, and the dim lighting made for a really cozy atmosphere. Service was super quick and everyone was so friendly. Seriously, the lunch specials are a steal! I’ll definitely be back for more.

I love Golden Wok :^) best eggrolls ever and I tried the pan fried noodles with beef. It was very yummy and such a big portion. The sauce is almost buttery, it’s very delicious.

Hade lunch there today, me and mom ordered the same thing the island fried rice, mom got the chicken and I ordered the combination beef and chicken, I am allergic to shrimp I told the waitress. When my order came mom’s was correct mine was not, not sure what the waitress wrote down but it was not what I ordered. So Judy the manager came out and very rudely asked what the problem was, she asked what I ordered and I told her twice what I wanted and she repeated it back to me twice to make sure it was correct. Few minutes later the waitress brought the new dish out and it had shrimp on it, after I told her i was allergic to shrimp, I will post a photo of it here in a minute. So I asked for the manager again, she came out again and said that I had ordered shrimp, she said she was going to cancel my order and I could leave, I told her she was very rude and disrespectful. I asked for the name and number of the main manager so I could make a complaint to him about her, she refused, this place is a bad place you would be stupid to eat there.

We usually do to-go service but decided to dine in.
Party of 6. The wait was short despite the busyness. The food was absolutely delicious. Waitress was on it in serving and friendliness. The owner personally came to our table to see how everything was, if we needed anything and was so generous to randomly remove 10% from our bill. Ordered dessert to-go. Great atmosphere and establishment. Recommended and will be returning.

The food was HORRIBLE !! A total waste of money!!
The general chicken and the sweet and sour chicken tasted like fried cardboard. Never going back.
However, the place seems very clean, good vibe and comfortable.
Visit at your own risk!!!

Golden Wok was just okay overall. The food came out hot and the portions were fair, but the flavors were on the bland side and really didn’t leave much of an impression. The egg roll in particular was disappointing—it was overly oily from the deep fryer and lacked the crisp, fresh taste I was hoping for. The main dishes filled me up, but they were missing that seasoning and freshness that makes good takeout stand out. Service was fine and the restaurant was clean, but the food itself felt pretty average. Not terrible, but not a place I’d rush back to.

Love Golden Wok… at the other location at Wurzbach. This was first time at this location. No one at the front to seat us. Finally someone shows up and says “Lunch is over.” We didn’t come for lunch and didn’t ask. Came here to try the “other” Golden Wok location. Waitress took our order for tea, eggrolls, shrimp su mai, and main meal. Waitress brought tea and no lemon. Place was not packed or short handed. Asked the waitress for lemon and waited a long time. Waitress showed up with the main dishes and no eggrolls, lemon or shrimp su mai (appetizer). Asked waitress who was hard to find where was the other food we ordered for appetizers? Waitress lied and said that Dim Sum takes a long time to cook. I said does that include egg rolls too? The Golden Wok on Wurzbach always brings out the Dim Sum first. You can buy Su Mai at any Asian market and steam it quickly. Waitress was argumentative. Walks by and places a lot of lemons on the table without stopping. Next the Manager comes up and asks if everything is ok. Asked the Manager why it took so long to get lemons, eggrolls and shrimp su mai. Manager says “It takes a long time to make Dim Sum. Manager is oblivious to the difference between Dim Sum and simple appetizers. I said to the Manager it doesn’t take that long at the other Golden Wok off Wurzbach. Manager wanted to argue and said “That’s because it comes off the Dim Sum cart!” That was a lie. Dim Sum is only served on weekends not on week days at the Wurzbach location. Eat there a lot. When the Shrimp Su Mai arrived the Waitress pushed it on top of dirty dishes knocking things all over the table. There was no sauce for the shrimp su mai that is always offered at the Wurzbach location. Waitress gave impression the orange marmalade brought with the eggrolls was good enough to eat with the shrimp su mai. I said where is the sauce? Waitress brought out sauce for pot stickers. Didn’t even ask if we wanted chopsticks. Had to eat the shrimp su mai with forks. Arrogant, pompous and rude staff and incompetent service at **THIS SPECIFIC GOLDEN WOK LOCATION**. I call it the PIG TROUGH because the staff lead their customers to the table providing service like we are pigs eating at a trough oblivious to the wonderful services provided at the Golden Wok at Wurzbach.

Tasty food, large servings, and our server, Arturo, was extremely attentive and on it through the meal. We’ve returned several times, and I’ve always had good service. I enjoy the food and love the style of their Sweet and Sour sauce. What keeps me from going to a 5th star is the fried batter items (like orange, sweet and sour, or sesame) are often tough and hard to chew but also have more gristle than I would like. Among the desserts, I prefer the more American style of sweets, so even though I don’t typically like chocolate, the Chocolate Fantasy is my favorite. The Banana Spring Roll and Sesame Seed Balls have too much savory and uname flavors.

Good quality american Chinese served fast.
The Good: well above average food, great value lunch specials. Large portions. Friendly staff.
The Bad: lunch special choices are limited.
The Bottom Line: Well worth the trip, if I was a local this may be my go too for Chinese takeout and work lunches.
