I regularly wait for the bus near this shop after work and decided to finally stop in to try their donuts. I work long warehouse shifts and had just gotten off work.
While I was selecting a half dozen mixed donuts and a cinnamon roll, the younger woman looked me up and down and said, “Let me charge you and make sure the payment goes through first.”
I’ve never been asked to pay before my order is even prepared at a donut shop. It immediately felt targeted.
While I was transferring money between accounts on my banking app, her mother came out, spoke to her in another language, looked me up and down as well, and stood there with her arms folded. The body language and energy were extremely uncomfortable. It felt like they were waiting to see if my payment would “clear” before even beginning the order.
When I asked for clarification, the daughter said, “It won’t be made until morning,” which made no sense in the context of my current order. The communication was dismissive and condescending.
The entire interaction felt prejudiced and unnecessary. Customers should not be made to feel judged based on appearance — especially in a busy commuter area where people are coming from long work shifts.
I chose to leave instead of completing the purchase.
I will not be returning.

The #24 breakfast sandwich is very filling. It would be nice if there was a little less mayo and the cucumber was cut up a little more. The chocolate donut was good but crumbled very easily. Staff is friendly, will definitely stop by again!

Pleasantly surprised that they make sure the filling is evenly distributed through the entire donut! I had the lemon filled that had great flavor. I’m sure that the other jelly or custard filled donuts are constructed the same way with the filling carefully spread throughout the dough.

9/30 I’ll start of by saying great ice coffee, friendly and the price for the location is good. Now this might have been a fluke but I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and tomato for $2.50 and when I got to work no tomato and very light almost rude amount of cream cheese lol. I added the picture. Granted I shouldn’t be complaining about less fat in my food but the fact I didn’t have tomatoes the cream cheese bugged me. Anyways just a heads up.

I NEVER make reviews but this shop deserves 5 stars all around. This is small family owned business but such underrated food! The sandwiches are so good, and the cheese is just the right melted :). I stop by here once every few weeks and have been for 3 years–and they’re always consistant with the food they serve. The prices are very good for this area with things like donuts and water is just around $1.50! It just feels so homey and warm, and the lady at the counter is so nice, and she always makes small talk with every customer. I highly recommend supporting this small business!!

So apple fritters are my favorite donuts and let me tell you, these have actual apples in them. Unlike Yum Yum Donuts, it actually taste sweet, like the real kind of sweetness not that fake sugar on top of sugar kinda stuff. I can even taste cinnamon in it. It’s also always moist when I get it. The butter milks are also great. Would prefer to buy my stuff from Mom and Pop shops than big companies like Target or Subway. I would recommend coming here to anyone who lives in the area.
