Such a welcoming and warm service! They really made us feel at home.

The food was delicious! I had the Goldi-lox Omelette and ‍ , I think it was the best omelette I have ever had.

My partner got the huevos Motuleños and also loved them.

Finally, we got the Lisa Marie hot cake, which sounded “interesting and like such a weird combination,” but it was so good!

Can’t wait to visit them again!

I’m not vegan at all, I literally will each any and everything, as long as it’s not still moving on my plate. But, I first visited here with a friend on 11/2/2025 and I was pleasantly pleased. My friend told me that we came while the restaurant was undergoing construction, but the place was still nice. They had moved the bar from the back of the restaurant to the front and was still in the midst of changing the atmosphere with more decorations. The food was amazing, I got the regular French toast and the stuffed corncake. Each were delicious and a must get again! My friend got the pumpkin curry soup and she wasn’t really a fan, so the waiter was super accommodating and offered to take it back to the kitchen. She loved the way my corncake looked and tasted that she wanted one of her own. We also got the vegan waffle and the cauliflower wings. The wings were breaded super well and were so crunchy with a good kick to them! The best I’ve ever tasted. We’ll most definitely be back.

Two friends and I had brunch here today and the food & staff was excellent! There was a short wait (despite it being a Sunday morning) with seating inside. The menu is fantastic with plenty of choices like alcoholic & non-alcoholic crafted beverages and insanely good appetizer, meal, & desert choices. The three of us shared several dishes and all throughly enjoyed everything! After our meal my friends and I wanted to take a few pictures with the gorgeous artwork inside (we were also dressed in costumes from a prior event) and of course, staff was extremely kind and let us take photos as long as we wanted. Thanks to the staff for making such a wonderful experience!

What a beautiful, creative, peaceful, uplifting design both in place and menu!! Excellent service. I look forward to returning. We were there on a Friday at 10am and with about 11 tables of guests it was easy to have conversation.

This place is great! They had a specialty drink menu, and the drinks were delicious and huge! We didn’t eat this time but I cannot wait to go back. They have a gluten free menu, and a ton of vegan stuff!

This is thebcoolest diner you’ll ever visit. The unique decor (Buffalo heads, antique ceiling, dolly Parton on the bathroom stalls, and old portraits) makes this place a delight to visit. You’ll see something new each time you swing by. The owner is friendly and the food is good for the vegetarians and the carnivores among you.

The vegan food needs work as what is on the menu is highly processed and salty…but at least they gave it a shot.

The food, the service, the location, everything is amazing! I have always enjoyed brunch at this location, but decided to try their lunch services with my office for our holiday get-together! What a wonderful experience working with Sam and the team! Everything was so nicely done and we truly felt spoiled! We had a variety of dietary restrictions: vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and everything was very accommodating. A great location for our group and the food, just delicious! Thank you!

This is a somewhat eclectic spot on the Hampden main street. They offer a wide variety of entrees (with a southwestern/hispanic twist), including burgers, burritos, and enchiladas. All were tasteful and decently sized portions, but were quite pricey. They have lots vegan options, and supposedly started the first Vegan Week in america. They have a lot of seating indoors and can accomodate larger groups. Definitely worth a visit!

I’ve thought about writing a review for Golden West Cafe several times but haven’t, because, ultimately, I always return. We used to go more often for brunch, but my boyfriend and I stopped when we realized that hot coffee refills were few and far between – so now we only go few and far between for hair-of-the-dog brunch. When server quality varied wildly in the dining room we stuck to always sitting at the bar rather than take the risk. When we had two instances of grease-pillow tots because the frying oil was too cold, we started ordering side salads. The brussel sprouts are usually either too wet or just burnt. If we don’t check the specialty burgers for each ingredient before the server leaves ( because we know at least one ingredient will be missing), then we know that we need to emotionally accept that we won’t get the ingredient. We do this because the great experiences at Golden West Cafe outshine these flubs, and calling over a server for every little thing would be miserable for the server and us. The more experienced staff are GREAT. The food when cooked appropriately is delicious. The bar program has always impressed me. We can take our whole family with all their dietary restrictions, preferences, and allergies. So this is why I haven’t complained. But tonight I visited the restaurant for the first time since its bar move and what I saw finally made an issue big enough for me to talk about. As pictured, the placement of the new bar in conjunction with the wall seating and air conditioning vent makes access to the only restrooms completely inaccessible to anyone other than the able-bodied. When I brought this to the attention of one the servers, he gave a heavy sigh of realization and told me that no one had thought of or brought up this issue at all during the whole process. And now what I thought were once little quirks of GWC feels like people not paying attention to the details – this one, particularly significant. I really root for this restaurant but I feel like it’s constantly shooting itself in the foot with all these oversights.
