I order delivery from here for lunch quite frequently. The really nice delivery guy rides a bike and always gets it to me in 30 minutes or less. I love the General Tao’s meal. Comes with rice and egg roll. Never been to the restaurant, but the delivery is great.

I honestly don’t know why this place has so few stars. I really enjoyed it. The fried rice was delicious, and the portion size is great. For that price, don’t expect a visually fancy place and I don’t mean that the food isn’t good. Maybe the place doesn’t appeal visually to everyone, but the food definitely does. The rice had an amazing flavor, and I truly loved it. I’ve tried a lot of food in NOLA, and I decided to give this restaurant a chance. It’s different, not typical, but it definitely won me over!

Ordered Szechuan beef and garlic beef. The dishes were exactly the same. The description online and photos were nothing like the food that was delivered. Food was very cheap in taste and rice was undercooked. Place seemed very run down ans would not recommend. Spend a dollar more and upgrade to bwtter restaurant

Avoid at all cost
I picked up my order from Golden Wall—Chicken Chow Mein, Pepper Steak, Egg Drop Soup, and House Noodles—and this was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time. Everything was lukewarm, completely flavorless, and the meat looked so sickly and pale that it honestly made me hesitate before taking a bite.

Chicken Chow Mein
The chow mein tasted like plain noodles tossed in nothing. The chicken was pale, rubbery, and looked like it had never seen a pan, seasoning, or sauce. It was visually unappetizing and tasted exactly the way it looked.

Pepper Steak
The pepper steak was the biggest letdown. The meat had a dull, grayish tone that made it look undercooked or old. There was zero flavor—no pepper, no sauce, nothing. Just lukewarm strips of meat that didn’t inspire confidence.

Egg Drop Soup
The soup tasted like slightly warm water with a few egg ribbons floating in it. No seasoning, no richness, no comfort. It felt like something that was rushed out without any care.

House Noodles
The noodles were bland, the meat mixed in looked just as questionable as the rest, and the whole dish felt like it was thrown together without a single thought about flavor.

Pickup Experience
This was a pickup order, so there’s no excuse for the food being lukewarm and looking this rough. It felt like everything had been sitting out too long or prepared without any attention.

Overall
This meal wasn’t just bland—it was unappetizing. The food was lukewarm, the seasoning was nonexistent, and the meat looked off in a way that made the whole experience uncomfortable. I left feeling disappointed and honestly a little concerned.

This place was really good. The portion size was good too. I loved their rice and the chicken wings. The owners were really friendly too.

Great location but not so tasty food.
It’s not a fine dine rather a counter self served food.
Ordered a fried rice which wasn’t good at all, barely eatable, it was made of sticky rice and the chicken on it wasn’t nice either.
The chicken lo-mein fun was better than the fried rice but again average too.
The vegetable spring rolls were okie.
Hot and sour soup again was just average.
I don’t think I will go back to eat here.
Again location was good for the restaurant which is the best thing about the restaurant
It’s right on Canal street in downtown.

The food here is standard Chinese take out. I have eaten here around a dozen times. They are very consistent with their food. Service is pretty fast, around 10 minutes when I order 2-3 items. Prices are pretty good (around $12 per item), considering that they are on Canal St and open late.

I have no complaints, 5 Stars.

My meal was a bit of a disappointment. I figured I could go and eat here because it wasn’t a large line and all the close restaurants were a one hour or more waiting period. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and the shrimp and lobster sauce. The shrimp and lobster sauce was remarkably bland. The lemon pepper chicken was Very bland as well. I now see why the line was short. I would definitely not recommend this as a place to go.

Be careful, a co-worker order the shrimp egg foo young. Found a wire cooked within the egg. The dish cost $12.46 with tax. The lady at the register tried to give me $11 refund. She was extremely rude and will not receive any orders from us again.
