I’ve been coming to Golden Sun for years, and it never disappoints. The house-made hummus is always full of flavor, and the chicken kabob plate with its perfectly grilled tomatoes is a standout every time. Authentic Greek food hidden gem alert found in Norwalk! Yes, I highly recommend this hidden ! The food is not greasy. It has the same authentic taste that I look for. Thank you very much, Golden Sun Mediterranean.
Also, they make fresh Dubai Chocolates, Baklava dessert. Wow! Amazingly, it’s not too sweet, just the way it should be.

I was in the area and found this place. I ordered a chicken kabob, a small salad, and a cheese fatayer. Put my order online when I arrived it was ready. They put my chicken on the salad. I wanted it separate, but no big deal. It tasted great. The cheese fatayer was amazing, but for the price it should have been a little bigger I feel, and it didn’t look like the picture. Overall it was good.

How are you supposed to “be healthy, eat healthy” when even their rice is this greasy.
I’m also almost sure the oil on the humus wasn’t olive oil, or it was one of those knock-off, fake, olive oils, it was very thin and not viscous like olive oil is.
Grilled veggies? No. Spiced oil veggies is a better description.
Half the chicken was reasonable while the other half was dry and blackened too much.
Hot inside the place too, no AC it seems or they just don’t want to use it which makes you choke a bit because of the cooking going on. So I had to eat outside on the tailgate of my truck.
This was $22 plus tax, which is about $5 more than other actually good places charge…

Clearly you can’t read English properly because that’s not what I wrote at all. I said the olive oil on the humus isn’t actually olive oil, it’s something else. Also, saying that cooking with olive oil is unhealthy and carcinogenic is COMPLETE misinformation, so stop lying. I didn’t say your chicken is old, I said it was DRY. I’m not the only one saying this in your reviews, either.

I’m a sucker for Mediterranean food. It has always been absolutely some of my favorite food and dishes to eat. So when I hear about a place that sells it and does well then I feel so inclined to come and try it and see how good it is.
The food here at Golden Sun is no exception. It is so very good albeit a little pricey. I ordered a beef and lamb kebab plate which comes with rice, salad and a grilled tomato and jalapeño as well as a pita bread. I usually order chicken shawarma at places like this but I went with the beef and lamb combo because I wanted to try something new.
It was actually very good. Very tender and full of flavor. I left this place feeling really satisfied.
I enjoyed the hospitality too. The woman who greeted me when I entered was very polite and she made my meal with a smile on her face. I really appreciated it. It felt like a meal made with love and diligence.
Also, as I was eating in here I noticed this place used to be a subway and I’m glad it became a Mediterranean place. I feel like there are already enough Subways lol.

They have been only one month but I’m happy they are. The Owner Darin and her Staff are very friendly. I have tried many items from their Menu. But if you haven’t tried the Lamb Chop they are to die for. Can wait for my next visit.

As foodies we are always looking for a new place to try and my friend found a gem in Norwalk!, A group of us (3) ordered different combo plates to share to try a little bit of everything. We ordered from Falafel , chicken, steak, and kafta kabobs. Let me tell you every dish had its own delicious seasoning and the flavors were amazing. I’ve got to hand it to them, I was very impressed by the flavors and love they put into every dish we tried. There were two ladies, we did not get their names. They were so kind and gave us to try the humus and I forgot to mention we ordered dessert, I know, I know! We couldn’t resist lol 😀 As for dessert we had the Baklava, Kunafa with cream. Again so nice of the staff they shared a dessert called Warpa with cream. If I could describe each dessert this review would be much longer than it already is.
You just gotta try them out! Going for the first time they left a great impression not only with the food but how helpful and kind they were to answer our questions. I can’t wait to try their other dishes and desserts.
P.S portions are generous and worth every cent.
