Fabulous food, friendly and helpful servers and staff, very comfortable seating, bight and cheerful ambiance. Highly recommend the spring rolls, sesame chicken, and spicy veggies with tofu. Fresh and delicious. Recommend this excellent restaurant, and will happily return.

Stopped in at Golden Star for the first time last night. It was around 7:30, and they had clearly just cleared out from their dinner rush. Even so, we were seated promptly and the service was excellent. The food was also great! We got the Super Star Family Combo and it was easily enough for 2-3 meals. We took most of it home and still left full. Everything came out hot, fresh, and was good quality. The meal came with egg rolls (amazing. Some of the best Chinese-style egg rolls I’ve had in the area), wonton chips (very fresh and crisp), soup, Almond Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice, fried shrimp, Sizzling Beef, and BBQ Pork (that hot mustard is no joke, but delicious). With all of that, a soda, and one cocktail, the meal was under $60. Great value, great service, great food. We will definitely be back to try some more of their dishes!

Has to be the best in the area! Just had my birthday dinner there with my family, it was fantastic! Now I’m biased because we’ve been going there for years. I forget the waitresses name is ( my sister knows, )

Some of the lowest quality food I’ve ever had bad in every way dry, flavorless, and boring. Got the chicken curry and the orange chicken very very disappointing couldn’t even finish the meals they were so bad.

Best American Chinese food I’ve found pretty much anywhere. We always get orange beef with extra broccoli (it tastes ever-so-slightly of orange zest). Otherwise, I look forward to the chow mein and the almond chicken. But, honestly, it’s all good.
Also, the service here is phenomenal! I always leave feeling really appreciated. It has that dated decor that hits nostalgic, but it’s a clean place. I used to do pest control and I’ve never seen anything alarming.

I have been seeing reviews that this place was great, so my daughter and I had to try it out. Large portions and pretty great price! My daughter got the combination sweet and sour and I got the prawn shrimp fried rice. Between the time we got there and got our food, over 12 carry out orders went out the door. (Probably more like 20+)

Absolutely disappointed! I’ve gone here before 5/6 yrs ago the food was great! I live in port orchard but happened to be in that area. Absolutely waste of my money! Shrimp egg foo young had canned shrimp, #4 lunch was supposed to be beef/broccoli I got pork ! $50 spent for really bad food! Even the pork fried rice was bad! I haven’t eaten the war won ton soup but based on everything else I’m not expecting much!

They have good portions of food for the price. We got the garlic chicken wings and fried tofu for our appetizers. I ordered the beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice from the lunch menu. Will definitely check out the cashew chicken and sweet and sour pork per recommendation next time.

Went here with pretty high expectations because of all the raves I’ve been hearing about the place. I was not really disappointed, but I dunno, maybe I just only sampled a lunch combo (pork chow mein, pork fried rice, and deep fried shrimps) so I can’t quite vouch for all the hype. The food portions are a great value for the price though; I had more than enough leftovers for a filling dinner later. The food tasted okay, but a little lacking in oomph.
I gotta say though, they have really nice wait staff. Pretty much all of them, I was watching them interact with other diners as well and they were all attentive and friendly.
Would I go back? Probably, but I’d be trying their other food offerings.
