My wife and I accidentally found this local Chinese restaurant and almost didn’t go in due to the 3.8 Google review ratings. I’m very happy we did go in. Everyone else eating here was Chinese and the food was amazing. I think the poorer ratings are for people thinking they’re getting American Chinese food instead of delicious authentic Chinese cuisine. If I’m in the neighborhood again I’ll definitely eat here.

The space has plenty of seating lots of fresh seafood, excellent service and unique dishes to try!!!

Lower cost yummy cantonese restaurant. We had a small gathering 20 people and split to 2 tables. The food comes out within 10 minutes of ordering. The BBQ beef was so good.

The large restaurant is located in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn. They prepare Chinese cuisine. Soups, appetizers, casseroles, noodles, rice dishes, entrees and beverages are available. I ordered wonton soup, hot and sour soup, egg rolls, steamed shrimp dumplings, baby shrimp with egg over white rice and seafood pan fried noodles. The egg rolls were overcooked and very oily. The seafood pan fried noodles lacked seafood for the price of the dish. The food was average in taste and flavor. They did not provide any noodles for the two soups, no duck sauce, soy sauce, hot sauce or mustard and no sauce for the steamed dumplings. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is a 酒楼 with some emphasis on seafood. They have separate rooms from the main dining hall, but beware as they can be a bit squishy due to overcrowding of chairs.
The food is good, with my highest kudos going to the crab and lobster dishes. They have beautiful tanks crowded with sea life that they take for customers to eat.
In addition to seafood they also have the usual favorites like suckling pig and Peking duck.
The servers are very friendly, but if you take a private room, you will need to sometimes find them yourself, especially if the main dining hall is filled with patrons.
Overall, this is a nice location for a small party, to celebrate an anniversary or birthday or something.

Went here for the dim sum. I like the restaurant, but not the parking. I don’t visit this area of Brooklyn very often. The food was good. The staff was friendly.

Dim Sum is excellent. The four major ones are excellent. Shrimp dumpling, Sui Mai, Shrimp noodle wrap, Beef noodle wrap.

Every other dim is excellent as well. The fried shrimp bacon with sauce, the desserts are excellent as well.

Great spot for dim sum but the dinner menu is also vast and delicious. Everything that we got was good except for the deep-fried t-bone steak. That is so dry and unchewable.

We suggest calling ahead to reserve because it gets packed very quickly

Came here at 8 o’clock for some dim sum and they had a party rental going on, but it’s never said that on their website or here. We try to order take out and they quoted us a very Long Way time, and they didn’t seem like they wanted to do it. Will come back to try the actual food Hopefully it goes better than this and i advise to give them a call before you come in.

Had dim sum here for the first time. Ate with the early folks, right when they opened. 9am. Dim sum tasted really good and fresh off the trolly. Rice rolls did not disappoint. Shrimp and chives dumplings were good sized. Chicken feet were just alright. Service was good. Dim sum ladies were hovering a bit too long trying to stamp more dishes we really wanted to stay for the tofu pudding but still wasn’t ready at 10am. Upon leaving, we were greeted by a dude in black cn goose asking for money. $3 valet fee. Pointed at the sign, (which was not up when we got there. Neither was he)

We told him we just finished eating at the restaurant. He stated it was still a $3 valet fee. It would be more expensive if we didn’t eat there. Who would park there if we didn’t eat there? Valet would make sense if he parked the car for us when it was BUSY. This was at 10am where the lot was still so empty

***** Tip for the restaurant, specify there is a $3 parking FEE, NOT valet. Otherwise you’re just confusing everyone. Then they will leave the restaurant a negative review in general which would be unfair because the dim sum was pretty good.

This is my family’s go-to spot for Yum Cha! And dinner spot for my friends! Best of both worlds.

Golden Palace is one of nicer restaurants in South Brooklyn and there’s a parking lot (valet, used to be self park but that was right after the pandemic).

The staff are nice here, the dim sum ladies are helpful when you are looking for a particular item, or in search for something that didn’t come out in the dim sum carts yet. I love this spot bc they make some old school stuff that I don’t see anymore… perhaps too much work and not enough takers? Well lucky for me – I get it here!! My fav braised duck blood pudding and fried taro shrimp pancake. I remember eating that in the glory days of Silver Palace (rip) in Chinatown.

Prices are slightly higher here but nowadays, it seems dim sum are expensive. But it’s a nice splurge on the weekend and it’s definitely not an everyday treat.

For dinner, their kitchen bangs out some yummy Wok-Hay dishes! Love my kind crab 3 ways, for sure typhoon style! Who wouldn’t love sea clam in XO sauce? Or a hot steaming eggplant & salted fish casserole?! Simply 3 rice bowls of delicious!!
