Golden Olive is an absolute gem—if you’re craving authentic Egyptian seafood, this is the only place to go. The moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth—Mariam and Nasr make you feel like family. The fish and shrimp are beyond fresh— best high-quality fish, Seabass, sea press and more grilled to perfection over charcoal, bursting with rich, traditional spices. ❤️ I even asked for grilled shrimp off-menu, and they happily accommodated me. Don’t miss their Egyptian fried rice—it’s a perfect complement. Every bite feels like a journey home, and I can’t wait to go back!

It’s my kind of place – a hidden hole-in-the-wall with good service and great food. I’ll be back for sure – they’re on my list of favorites now. We had the grilled Singari sea bass, sea bream, fried calamari, and shrimp—everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. If your in Huntington beach you gotta try this place! The food is all homemade authentic Egyptian food. It’s so delicious. The owner was so sweet! They have indoor and outdoor seating and it’s close by the beach. I ordered their chicken and lamb dish it came with a salad and rice and pita bread. The portions are worth the price I was full and had leftovers for another meal. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Golden Olive! The food was incredibly delicious. The chicken and beef kabobs were nearly perfect. The garlic sauce was phenomenal; I could smell the garlic from afar. The pita bread was unbelievably perfect, and the hummus was also excellent.
The portion sizes were just right.
The only drawback was the wait time—over 30 minutes before we were served. However, I understand, as the restaurant was quite busy.

Great family-run business. The owner made us feel very welcomed, accommodating our large group of 12 without any notice. When we got confused about who ordered what (completely our fault), he even offered to switch an order for us so that everyone got what they wanted.
The food was good, I’ve spent time in the Mediterranean and it tastes very similar. Would definitely recommend this restaurant after a day at the beach.

This is our newest favorite place in HB to enjoy big portions, affordable, and delicious tasting food. The hummus and the whipped garlic butter are a must. The atmosphere is a fun family experience. The lamb shank platter is amazing and you get a real glass of wine when you order one. Not like other places that skimp on the pour..

The food here is really good and the service is great. I ordered the filet mignon and shrimp kabob. The portion was enough for 2 people, and the price is super reasonable. The location is convenient for those coming from the beach. There is outdoor seating along the front of the building facing the beach, with a parking lot and PCH running between. The interior of the restaurant is very basic. Overall I would recommend for an authentic Mediterranean meal.

My wife and I have been several times here during our college years and we truly enjoy this place! The service was alright this time but the food made up for it. Here’s what we ordered:
Appetizers: their complimentary pita bread was fluffy and tasty and garlic dipping sauce was delicious.
Mediterranean pizza: this was an amazing pie as it tasted delicious, was fluffy, and not too doughy. Most important part of a pizza is the dough and it was on point and fresh.
Golden olive mushroom: it was good! The meat was tender and the dough was perfect.
Eggplant and falafel wrap: the falafel wrap was very lovely but the eggplant was even better. It would have been nice if they gave hummus on the side.
Chicken platter: we were expecting a tastier chicken because it was not flavorful, seasoned well, nor spicy enough. Rice was decent.
Chicken warp : the chicken was moisty and cooked well! The only thing problem was the tomato was not chopped small enough.
Overall, food was fantastic and highly recommended as its location is also amazing right next to the beach!
