I was very impressed by the interior when I walked in. Our waitress was super sweet and even brought the boys some free fruit for while we waited for our meals. Price was reasonable. Just at $100 for 4 adults and two toddlers.

My family and I tried Golden Oak Pancake House for the first time and left disappointed. The place felt outdated, the food was just okay, and our waitress wasn’t very attentive. Breakfast for three came to $74.12, which felt way too high — especially with $1 add-ons for things like onions in hashbrowns, blueberries, and chocolate chips in pancakes.
We even spoke with the owner, who proudly mentioned they haven’t raised prices in three years and that everything is made with fresh fruits and vegetables — but honestly, it didn’t show. I love supporting small businesses, but between the high prices, average food, and dated atmosphere, it just wasn’t worth it.

I hate to say this about a local, mom and pop restaurant, but it was not that good. As you can tell from the picture, I not only didn’t eat a lot of it, but I also didn’t take it home with me. I had a Golden Scramble with pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy but barely warm when they arrived. The butter melted slowly, but at that point, they were not that good to eat. The Scramble was not flavorful at all. You should always salt and pepper to your own taste, but the meat (ham, bacon, and sausage) provided no additional flavor to the eggs or hash browns. This was not what I would have expected from a down home restaurant. I was not overwhelmed with satisfaction after I ate what I did because it just was not a great experience for the palette.

I want to say first off that the food I ate here was good. The server I had was energetic and nice.
My only complaint is when we got seated they put us at a table in the middle of the restaurant I asked the older 60 yo Grey/silver haired lady/hostess if we could sit at the booth in the back and she said the booth was broken currently. So we sat down and then within 10 minutes I look back and she had sat someone at the exact booth that was supposedly “Broken” Idk if booths are reserved for a certain age or what but just be straightforward dont lie to my face. I hate being lied to.
I will not be returning due to this.

From the moment we step in, we felt the presence of a nice and cozy atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive and our order was prepared fresh, hot, and accurately! The owner was very sweet and family oriented! We will definitely be back. The food tastes so fresh!

Food is pretty good. Large menu, good variety. Waffles and pancakes aren’t as good as Cracker Barrel but still pretty good. Friendly customer service. Servers are quick to drop the check but you don’t feel rushed to leave. Tables are pretty close together. Anyone needing ADA accessibility may have difficulties maneuvering through the restaurant. The women’s restroom seems fairly dirty sometimes but, overall, decent food for the price.
