First to come was the soup, absolutely full! Filled with vegetables, several kinds of meat, and 16 wontons! The broth was light and great.
Second was the chow mien. Also covered in vegetables, several kinds of meat, lightly spicy and very delicious !
Third was the Shrimp fried rice. Exactly what I expected and delicious !
Lastly the sesame chicken! Nice chicken chunks, saucy but not over powered in flavor ! Very good.
Over all it was a great experience.
The lady running the place was very sweet!
Will definitely be coming back to try them again!
If ya got this far, we are the type to hours for good food.
I drive to cache creek for tacos on Sundays in the summer. I have tried a lot of places and this place is wonderful and worth trying !
Ordered Green Beans with a garlicky sauce, very delicious, highly recommend with generous amounts of white onions & pork.
And the fried rice — nice and fluffy, lots of vegetables and especially the shrimp too.
Comfortable lounge seating and booths.
Unlike other Chinese restaurants, they accept credit cards, yay!
Plenty of parking too.
A “Dinner for 3” was a meal for me, my friend, two elderly people, and me again! Also, I normally eat Sweet & Sour Pork as filler; from Golden Medal, however, I eat it because it is…killer! So good!
The decor here is in need of a refresh. There is visible wear and tear. Maintenance and updating have been put off, likely the fault of the previous Chinese restaurant that occupied this space. Even the outside signage is in desperate need of replacement. Things are clean though and there is obviously an effort to present the best face of the old space. It is not overly distracting and should not deter you from considering a dine-in experience.
Service here is very friendly and efficient. Tea was recommended to us due to the wet and cold weather outside, this was a thoughtful gesture. Our order was taken without any delay. There was some dialogue to find out our interests and ensure we were satisfied. It met our needs in a very helpful and personal way.
The food we had was fresh and well done. I was surprised at some delicate flavor profiles that are not often found in this style of food. Vegetables were cooked but also remained crisp. The almond chicken was nicely battered and the nuts were fresh. Portion size was large and we walked out with leftover containers.
Is this a good choice for a meal that is large enough for most appetites. It is westernized Chinese and they do a good job delivering that style of food.
