Stopped by today for lunch. Ordered a wor wonton, shrimp fried rice, sesame chicken, and the Szechuan special chow mien.

First to come was the soup, absolutely full! Filled with vegetables, several kinds of meat, and 16 wontons! The broth was light and great.

Second was the chow mien. Also covered in vegetables, several kinds of meat, lightly spicy and very delicious !

Third was the Shrimp fried rice. Exactly what I expected and delicious !

Lastly the sesame chicken! Nice chicken chunks, saucy but not over powered in flavor ! Very good.

Over all it was a great experience.

The lady running the place was very sweet!

Will definitely be coming back to try them again!

If ya got this far, we are the type to hours for good food.

I drive to cache creek for tacos on Sundays in the summer. I have tried a lot of places and this place is wonderful and worth trying !

Hands down, the best go-to Chinese restaurants in town. Know it’s authentic as heard staff speak Mandarin.

Ordered Green Beans with a garlicky sauce, very delicious, highly recommend with generous amounts of white onions & pork.

And the fried rice — nice and fluffy, lots of vegetables and especially the shrimp too.

Comfortable lounge seating and booths.

Unlike other Chinese restaurants, they accept credit cards, yay!

Plenty of parking too.

I have ordered from here several times over the last few years. This is the best Chinese food that I have ever eaten, and they not only completely fill the containers, but they also seem to stuff them until they almost explode. I always get great food and value.

A “Dinner for 3” was a meal for me, my friend, two elderly people, and me again! Also, I normally eat Sweet & Sour Pork as filler; from Golden Medal, however, I eat it because it is…killer! So good!

The vegetables were fresh and cut thick in my Szechuan Beef Chop Suey. The Almond Chicken was fabulous. The Honey Garlic Pork was excellent, as was the Chow Mein. I will definitely be ordering again. In fact my coworker commented, “That looks good” when I took leftovers for lunch.

I think it is always important to rate any restaurant against the standard it should achieve. This is important when considering Golden Medal. This is not authentic and refined Chinese. Rather, it is westernized Chinese food that is common across Canada and they do it well.

The decor here is in need of a refresh. There is visible wear and tear. Maintenance and updating have been put off, likely the fault of the previous Chinese restaurant that occupied this space. Even the outside signage is in desperate need of replacement. Things are clean though and there is obviously an effort to present the best face of the old space. It is not overly distracting and should not deter you from considering a dine-in experience.

Service here is very friendly and efficient. Tea was recommended to us due to the wet and cold weather outside, this was a thoughtful gesture. Our order was taken without any delay. There was some dialogue to find out our interests and ensure we were satisfied. It met our needs in a very helpful and personal way.

The food we had was fresh and well done. I was surprised at some delicate flavor profiles that are not often found in this style of food. Vegetables were cooked but also remained crisp. The almond chicken was nicely battered and the nuts were fresh. Portion size was large and we walked out with leftover containers.

Is this a good choice for a meal that is large enough for most appetites. It is westernized Chinese and they do a good job delivering that style of food.

Fried squid was good portion but it was too salty and lack flavour. Crispy noodle was too dried and the sauce tasted awkward. Mouth was thirsty a sign of MSG. Szechuan green bean was fine. Service was fine.

They advertised lunch special starting from $10.99 but there is no lunch special for that price and nothing special about their food. They mentioned that they are trying something different with the lunch special menu and the lunch combo menu is $16 onwards. This is not trying something different, this is just raising the price. False advertising. The food is really bad. Almost equal or worse than Lin’s Kitchen in the area. The meat is stale and fried rice is very oily. Tried once and will definitely not return. A disappointing Chinese restaurant.

Great authentic Chinese Cuisines. Excellent service. Jean and Sharon are very welcoming. Glad that there is a Langley Branch. Hot and Sour Soup is amazing. Food is freshly cooked.

I live in Richmond and tried lots of Chinese food, but still feel so impressive about the food here, the green bean is so tasty with their homemade chilly sauce, and Jing is so nice and treats us like a friend, will definitely come back. Hey Jing, Marco here. Thank you for your treat.
