A friend and I met for brunch on a Saturday. We sat at the bar and was greeted immediately by our bartender who recommended the bananas foster pancakes. The meal was a lot of food for a reasonable price and was definitely one of the best brunches I’ve had recently. The atmosphere was enjoyable with a light lunch crowd and open dining area.

This place is a hidden gem and my favorite brunch spot. Deb is the best bartender in the city — she remembers my order every time and consistently gives amazing service. She’s warm, attentive, and the reason I keep coming back.

My husband and I love coming to The Golden Lyon! It’s such a classic Fort Lauderdale spot — old-school pub vibes, great happy hour, and a real local feel even though it’s in a hotel.
We especially love William — he’s welcoming, attentive, and makes everyone feel at home. He’s the reason we keep coming back!
Unfortunately, our experience depends a lot on who’s working. There’s another bartender, Deb, who has consistently been unfriendly and inattentive. On several occasions, she’s ignored us even when we’re seated right at the bar. It makes what’s usually a great night out feel uncomfortable, so we now only visit when William is behind the bar.
We hope management takes note — it’s such a great place, and it deserves consistent service across the board.

Had a fine brunch at this tiny pub in the Riverside Hotel on Sunday, nothing special, & was disappointed that they were out of hollandaise so couldn’t have eggs benedict. Eggs and bacon were fine. My husband’s fried chicken and waffles were better. They have a few little tables outside on the street. Prices are reasonable.

Our server must’ve been new. She didn’t seem very confident to answer questions and was attentive. Slow to get our bill. Otherwise food was very good and sitting inside to cool off was a great option.

My wife and I (and Shadow my poodle) had lunch on the patio. Food was good and served hot. Shadow had the kids sliders, recommend by Debbie our server. Debbie was great, very friendly, professional, all around top level server. We will be back, thank you
