Made the mistake of giving this place another try on Sunday Oct 4th between 3-4pm. Was going to try the oxtail again until I saw the server giving me both but bones. I asked for different ones, perhaps a fresh batch from the back. The cashier said, “they’re all like that” So GK is serving bones? I had them taken off the check. Went with the jerk chicken instead. Big mistake! This was the driest chicken I’ve ever eaten. (See pics) Once again, money wasted. I will never try them again or recommend them to anyone, ever.
The owner needs to take a serious stand on quality of food this place is serving as well as the lack of customer service I received on this visit. I’m sure you’re making money regardless and without my fee dollars. However, you should still care. I don’t get that from this place.
Unimpressed. The curry chicken was so watery, I could barely taste any curry flavor. The oxtail is mediocre at best. No Jamaican spices detected. Jerk pattie crust is weird, filing ok. Beef Pattie was good. Rice & peas was good. The service was good. Greeted upon entering and everyone was nice.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at your Kennesaw location on Barrett Parkway. Unfortunately, after today’s visit on September 2, 2025, I feel compelled to share my concerns, as it will likely be my last visit.
I ordered the jerk chicken with a festival meal, but I was surprised when the cashier attempted to charge me separately for the whole meal and the festival. When I requested to substitute the rice for the festival, there was no flexibility or understanding from the staff. This was just the beginning of a disappointing experience.
To make matters worse, the jerk chicken I received was burnt and unappetizing. As a Jamaican, I take pride in authentic jerk chicken, and what I was served was far from the standard I expect. I have been a frequent customer at Golden Krust and have often brought family and friends to enjoy your food when they visit. However, today’s experience has left me disheartened.
I believe that for the prices you charge, your customers deserve better quality food and service. If there were competitors in the area, I believe your establishment would face increased pressure to improve.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and work towards enhancing the quality of your offerings and customer service. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Golden Krust never disappoints, but what truly keeps me coming back is the outstanding customer service from Dannii G. Her hospitality is unmatched! she’s warm, welcoming, attentive, and always makes you feel valued as a customer. Honestly, she is the main reason I choose this location. If Dannii G is working, I already know my experience will be great.
I also have to give major credit to the tall chef in the kitchen, hands down, the best curry chicken I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of authentic flavor. You can truly taste the care and skill put into the food.
Golden Krust is lucky to have staff like Dannii G and that chef. Great food, amazing service, and a reason to keep coming back again and again!

I’ve ordered from Golden Krust many times, but the food quality has gone downhill. My last two orders were extremely disappointing. The jerk chicken was so dry it tasted like it was days old, and the escovitch fish was rubbery, flavorless, and clearly not fresh. It seemed like it had been prepared hours earlier or left sitting out. Escovitch fish should always be made fresh—it’s unacceptable otherwise.
For the price of these plates, I expect much better. This place desperately needs new management to ensure the food meets quality standards because right now, they’re just serving anything. I’m not writing this to tear the business down, but to call attention to how disgusting the food has become. I hope they read this and take steps to improve.

I had a taste for oxtails and golden crust gave me my money’s worth. I’ve been in the Atlanta area for almost 8 years and my 1st going to one down here. They were pretty good. I just wish we had one closer to where I live.

PLEASE NOTE: The portion sizes at this location are NOT comparable to other Golden Krust locations. This location gives tiny, tiny, tiny portions!
I ordered the LARGE rice and peas with curry gravy and showed her the box size I wanted, yet she gave Me the order in a “sides” size box and said it was a large. No way! Please check my picture. Next, we ordered 1 mild beef patty and 1 spicy beef patty and she handed us two mild’s, WITH the markings on the package both saying mild. I showed her the mistake, thinking that good customer service would be like, “Oh my apologies, here is the spicy.” Nope! She tried to argue that it was marked wrong, but was still a spicy inside. When I bit into it to taste, it was a mild! So incorrect order twice with zero kindness and zero customer service. She was like, ♀️ Oh well. We will never come back here! I’ll drive out of the way to go to a different location before I return to this location where the service is trash and they are stingy with their portion sizing. No wonder there are so many negative reviews!

Tonight I ordered from this place with excitement to only be disappointed. My husband and I ordered a large stew chicken with rice and peas, a beef patty, and a large Mac and cheese off of DoorDash. We got a call from our dasher saying they were out of rice and peas so we asked just for extra plantains. Then we get a call from a lady asking what kind of rice we would like so I said spinach rice. After waiting to get our food we only discovered to find the stew chicken and plantains. No rice, no cabbage, no Mac and cheese, and no beef patty. We looked on the DoorDash to see that the items we crossed out. I am displeased with the fact that we had to wait to get our food to find out that the items weren’t going to be received.

First time at this location. And can honestly say it’s one of the better locations in the state, they (Golden Krust) are all very inconsistent as far as pricing goes and taste depending on whose cooking on which day. My only complaint here is that the Mac & cheese needed a little more seasoning but over all everything was good. This location is efficient in taking orders & fixing the food and then you’re on your way. Every location should adopt this setup.
