I love the quality/safety seal, every place should do that with ALL their food delivery!
Ordered the small OX tail order with extra plantains and a bear patty on the side. It was plenty of food for one person and delicious!

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at this Jamaican themed restaurant. My food was well seasoned and the portion size was more than generous. Everyone and I mean everyone was old-school courteous and polite. I decided to dine at the counter and enjoy the cricket match on the tube. I witnessed the staff helping customers take their orders to their cars when they were physically unable to do for themselves. I watched a father of two (2) small toddlers also sit at the counter and enjoy a peaceful family meal of great food. For me the only thing missing was being back on my ancestral islands of Trinidad and Tobago looking over the ocean enjoying perfection.

Delicious Jamaican food, But Needed More Sauce!
I ordered the jerk chicken for delivery, and it was a fantastic meal overall. The jerk chicken itself was incredibly fresh, tender, and flavorful. What impressed me were the sides—the rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains were all perfectly cooked. Not often do I get every single side dish just right from a Jamaican restaurant, so that was a pleasant surprise!
My only minor disappointment was the jerk sauce. There was barely a teaspoon’s worth, which was a real letdown for such a tasty dish.
Despite the sauce situation, I’ll be back to try the jerk chicken again, along with the goat, oxtails, and curried chicken in the future.

I purchased the following items on 1/15/2024: chicken soup, medium curry chicken, medium brown stew, jerk chicken and 3 patties -spinach, beef and chicken.
The total was approximately $65.00. Let’s start with the soup, the soup was so bad that I had to take pictures of it so you could believe exactly what I will attempt to describe to you. It contained a partial piece of a chicken neck bone and a chicken gristle. There was no other chicken in my soup container. It had 2 large pieces of potatoes, 1 piece of shedded carrot and 2 large unidentifiable pieces of something ( my husband said it was a rolled dumpling). I am unable to say what it is because I refuse to taste it. There was a large amount of broth.
The cost was $7 dollars for this nasty soup.
The curry chicken, and the brown stew was so tough, it was very chewy … I did not eat that either It usually is falling off the bones. I asked for extra gravy in both dishes, which she poured over all of the peas and rice and over my cabbage. The third item was jerk chicken. I have not tasted that dish yet! There were three patties that I have not tasted yet. I am so disgusted with the food there that I called back and explained to the person who I was and tried to describe my soup and
how there was no chicken in it at all except for a gristle and a neck bone.
She said sorry that’s all she could say I told her that I would be putting this on Google and she said OK, I will never eat there again ever that’s how bad the food was. I have eaten there before and it was pretty good.
Maybe management changed chefs but today this food was awful and I clearly would have asked for a refund. However, the lady forgot to give me my receipt. I used my credit card so if the owner reads this I am requesting that I be given a chance to change my mind about this dining experience. It may have been just a bad day, I would love to change review.
I gave the server a $5 tip.

I’m a Jamaican cuisine lover . This location is now my # 1 favorite restaurant in Maryland!! A wonderfully clean and friendly place. The service is amazing and courteous. The food is delicious and the portions are comparable to the price. I suggest the large portion, because you can eat it twice. The platter shown is about $16. Plantains are included with curry chicken, cabbage, rice and beans. The staff is open to communication and respectful. I must come at least once a month!

The food at this Golden Krust location can be a bit inconsistent. When the jerk chicken is fresh, it is very good, though it is often cut into very small pieces which can take away from the experience. The oxtail also varies in quality—sometimes it is tender, flavorful, and falls right off the bone, but other times the pieces are very small or seem mixed with other cuts like beef neck bones. On one occasion, I received a portion where some pieces were perfectly cooked while others were undercooked and difficult to eat.
Overall, the flavors are enjoyable when everything is fresh and prepared well, but greater consistency in preparation and portioning would really improve the dining experience.

I don’t recommend this location of Golden Krust. For me to be an avid oxtail fan and have experienced other locations, this one was very lackluster. The oxtails were thin and very tough. The cashier gloated about this being the greatest location and I beg to differ. Not only was the meal disappointing, the ambience was lacking especially with extremely loud conversations being had in the kitchen. You could barely order your food because it sounded like a Carnival was being had in the kitchen.

Occasionally, I get a craving for oxtails, and not everyone does them right. So when my foodie friend hyped up this place in Catonsville, I was like “Uh huh. Let’s see.” He can be hit or miss with his go-to spots, but Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant in Catonsville (I can’t speak for any other locations) is definitely a HIT! The oxtails were so tender they fell off the bone, the rice and beans had the perfect consistency and flavor, the cabbage/vegetables were perfectly seasoned and the plantains (which I questioned at first if they were burnt) were also cooked to perfection. The best part was that gravy. I tried another Jamaican restaurant recently, where the gravy tasted like it was out of a packet. Not the case here. It was so rich and yummy. My niece, who never had Jamaican cuisine, even gushed about how good everything was. Also, the service was excellent and they weren’t stingy with the portions! So if you’re ever in the Catonsville/Randallstown area and have a craving for authentic oxtail, make your way here.

Just walked out. Worst carribean food ever. Food was not fresh, tasteless (which is hard for a place offerring jerk). Ate inside and had to exit to throw the trash out. Employee was patient with my questions but her lack of enthusiasm was echoed in the food.
