This place PACKS their plates. Everything is well seasoned and they are pleasant here. This was a nice happy surprise stumbling on a golden krust in Connecticut. Highly recommend this location for the simple fact that they make sure you get your moneys worth.

this was the second time that I had oxtails from Golden Krust. Each time they were huge chunky oxtails that were so big, apparently did not cook well and were tough. I think it would have been better had they sliced the oxtails thin and gave you more, lastly, there is a sugary taste. I don’t know if it’s white sugar or brown sugar, but I would prefer not to have sugar in my oxtails.

If you’re not sure what to get, pick the rice and peas with jerk chicken plate. It’s so good! And very affordable too. Will be coming back definitely!

I’ve ordered from here like three times. However, the last meal I had, confirmed I won’t be buying from here again, unfortunately. I’ve concluded the food does not taste “authentic”. The several few times that I’ve bought from here, the food taste very bland. It has no spices/flavors that makes up an authentic Jamaican meal. So sorry, I really hope the recipe improves 🙁

Food is really bad. Dry and bland. Rice doesn’t taste like anything. If you’ve ever had real Caribbean food you’ll be very disappointed. It’s a Shame this place can’t get it together because it’d be great to have more local Caribbean cuisine available.
