My first time here. Staff was friendly and welcoming, restaurant was clean. My waitress was attentive. I order something I call sort of a lite lunch for me. I ordered potstickers, side of steamed rice, side of gravy, wonton soup and an egg roll. Everything was hot and fresh. I love the Wonton soup, it was very lite and flavorful. My whole meal was delicious. I will be returning. Keep up the good work Golden Gate!

We have enjoyed this place for many years. It never disappoints. Food is always good, the combo fried rice and the beef kung pao are especially good. The bar area is roomy and the patrons are friendly. Paul, the owner is usually at the bar and everyone enjoys him. Service is always fast and friendly. Decent prices too.

First time here and tried a couple typical favorites, not happy at all. Sesame Chicken was a small portion of chicken that was mostly heavy doughy breading. Sauce was no more than sweet and sour sauce with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Mu Shu Chicken was average but did not include any plum sauce which really impacted the dish. Pot stickers were ok, but the sauce was awful. Tasted like soy sauce, vinegar, and a ton of salt. Made potstickers inedible. Back to looking for a decent Chinese place around here. This is not it.

First time here. Several friends have raved about this place. It did not disappoint. Came around 6:30 on a weeknight. Plenty of open tables. The place is well maintained, well lit, and clean.
Got seated right away and attended to by our server. Trisha did a great job the entire meal. So very friendly and attentive.
After getting a beer and tea, we ordered our food. A eggroll that we split, shrimp egg foo young and Mu Shu Beef. Everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and generous portions.
The Shrimp Egg Foo Young patties were plump with a nice crisyp edge, with sauce that was not too thick. The Mu Shu Beef had a nice combination of vegetable, beef, with the pancakes and plum sauce.
Definitely a good choice for Chinese Food. The meal was great value, al less than $40.
The only issue that we had was the occasional outburst of noise/cheering from the bar area. There was a sports game on the TV and apparently the bar fans were getting excited. We are not fans of TVs in restaurants.

Best fried rice west of San Francisco. I travel the state and stopped in for lunch. Best fried rice i have had since leaving San Francisco. Service was friendly and fast. Food was served hot and atmosphere is nice and relaxing for eating a meal.

The place looks like a chill spot to go escape the summer heat and hang out at the bar. There is room for a large family, but mostly cozy for parties of four or less.
My beer was served with a chilled glass, the sodas were large, the Crab Rangoon were fried perfectly, the dishes were all flavorful. General Tso’s Chicken, Cashew Chicken Ding and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Super hot comfort food.
It only took 30 minutes by streets to get there from Milwaukee. Take a drive sometime!

This restaurant has come highly recommended for years and I never had the time to give it a try. Today I did and it disappointed greatly. The flavor of everything was either lacking or just off. Chicken fried rice was almost flavorless and a little undercooked. Egg drop soup tasted like hot water. Egg roll had something in it that I thought was mushy potato until I checked and saw that it was some kind of meat. Crab Rangoon had almost no filling and the shrimp dish had way too many peanuts and generally confusing texture. I wouldn’t eat here again.

We usually have no complaints at all, and the food is usually always delicious! But the past 2 times we’ve driven out of our way to get it, our food was dry, lacking sauce, lacking flavor. I’m sorry because this was one of my favorite Chinese spots!

I ordered through Doordash. The Chicken Fried Rice was very burnt and didn’t taste well at all. The General Taos was definitely not General Taos Chicken. It was breaded chicken with a weird sauce. My husband threw it away. Unfortunately a huge waste of money as Doordash would not refund my money. Such a bummer!
