So good. Harrow used to be my go to, but it has went down the drain badly. Ive been to golden gate before and forgot how good it was till I got some last night and it is probably the best I’ve had in awhile. I useally have my go to spots in Windsor like bamboo and Jades. Id say golden gate is better then them too.

Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one. Our wait was close to two hours for our order and when recieved was not made correctly. Our family has a severe allergy to mushrooms and whoever took our order wrote it on our bill yet our Chicken Chow Mein came with mushrooms. The other vegetables in the dish were hard and undercooked. We were very disappointed.

The food was alright but they charge $4 for any change to a combination platter (chicken chop suey to beef chop suey). That was the first thing. Then pick it up and the place has stuff out all over the place, like boxes, felt a little chaotic. So my $16.95 combination platter was 25% more, so around $25 including tax. Then I open it up and there’s 4 chicken balls!!! I usually have at least a couple for leftovers anywhere else. I’ll go back to my regular place out of town.

Make Me Bilingual
This is the worst Chinese food I have tasted. We ordered take out and the food tasted like it was old. The fried rice was stuck together and covered in the sauce from my General Tao, Egg rolls were old and the insides was dried out, it was difficult to even bite them.
When I called to talk to them about the issues with the food the owner was downright ignorant and insisted the food was fresh and they make the Egg rolls every morning, told me to leave my name and they will give me extra Egg roll to replace the ones that were in my meal next time we order!! While trying to explain about the meal she said “I don’t have time to talk about it. leave your name and I will replace the egg rolls”, at which she hung up the call.
If you are looking for a decent Chinese meal I suggest you take the time to go to somewhere outside of Amherstburg as this place is a waste of your time and money.
