Wow, this is the best. Fish & Chips I have ever had, and I’ve eaten a lot of fish and chips. The fish was nice and light and flaky and the batter was absolutely perfect. Not that heavy coating that feels like you’re trying to go through a loaf of bread to get to the fish but a nice light batter cooked golden brown. I ordered two pieces of the halibut because I was really hungry and I’m so glad I did. I would’ve been disappointed if I’d only had one piece because it was so good. Fantastic french fries and onion rings. We also enjoyed the coleslaw, which was excellent as well. If you’re anywhere near Golden Fish & Chips, you’ll definitely wanna stop by.

Decided to go back here after a break due to the quality. They have been consistently getting worse over time. I see a lot of 5 star reviews here…..are you eating at the same place?

For the prices they charge i expect way way better!!!
The fish was just a thin piece with tons of batter which is ok because I used to love their batter. This time the batter was crumbly!! See the pic!! Everytime I touched that fish with my knife that batter just fell apart. We won’t be going back. Seems like the price goes up but the quality has gotten way worse over the years but this time was THE worst yet. So for that kind of money I can get bigger and better at the copper Kettle.

Very good food! Fries are actually crispy – I find a lot of fish & chip restaurants serve soft fries.
Just a liiiittle on the pricey side when considering the portion size but it’s still enough to satisfy and fill you. It has become my go-to place for fish & chips.

Classic fish and chip destination in an excellent location downtown. Personally love their halibut and chips. Friendly staff and a storefront with that mom and pop fish and chip shop feeling well and alive. Cannot recommend this place enough. One of the gem spots in Georgetown.

This is by far the best fish and chip I ever had. All the fish gets battered right before cooking and the fries are cooked to perfection. The fish Comes out of the fryer with a light and fluffy golden batter. ( The best) If you enjoy fish and Chips I would definitely take a drive to Georgetown to enjoy this amazing little Gem.. I will add pictures next time I go.

They even have Newfie fries. I didn’t know what they were until my visit here but I thoroughly enjoyed them!

One of my favourite spots for lunch! Fish is the perfect size and has a nice light crispy batter, fries are delicious and crispy and coleslaw is always fresh! Nothing more you could want at a fish n chips spot! The ladies at the counter are always super pleasant , their service is consistently great. Always recommend this place to my friends and family !

Everything was good and tasty, friendly staff. But the piece of fish itself could have been a little thicker, I agree let it be shorter, you should enjoy the structure of the fish meat. Maybe you can also make your own tartar sauce? Your own unique sauce?
