Soon as you walk in you are greeted and asked how are you. It feels nice that they asked how you are .The food was great I got the house special lo mein and pork fried rice. let me tell you the rice was the brown fried rice and it was great.A lot of restaurants do yellow rice which I’m not a fan , also the lo mein tasted like lo mein and not like dish soap or spicy sauce like some restaurants.The containers were full and food is fresh. It’s very rare that you can find a restaurant that does the old school cooking. I will go back again,this place will be my go to place.

Horrible. $9 for a PINT of fried rice. $12 for chicken and broccoli that is not even full in the container. Why are you charging these prices and shortening us the food?
When I called and told them their portion sizes are the worst i have ever seen from a chinese place, the guy told me “You can order more next time, sorry sorry.”
Ripoffs. Do not come on here and write that you are trying to do better. You are a disgrace and should be ashamed.
EDIT: After I tasted the food, wow. Horrible. The broccoli was disgusting and hard. The chicken was floating in sauce and oil. Worst chinese food I have ever had.

Order dinner from here and so many things were wrong! The hot and sour soup was very watery, and although they cooked my broccoli perfectly the sauce had no flavor whatsoever. Horrible food…General Tso chicken the worst I’ve had and had a weird color, “fried rice” was just mushy white rice with some seasoning to make it look yellow and dumplings and dipping sauce had no flavor. Don’t bother.

I and my family have loved Golden Empire for many years. Usually we ordered our favorites from the traditional Chinese Restaurant fare. Always excellent. This time we went for Thai menu items and it was really REALLY good. Thai Basil is now a top of the list favorite and Thai Fried Rice right there with it. Mr. Lee and family is just getting better and better.
One last kudo – for the family member with food restrictions we mentioned the needs and their dish was carefully prepared without the disallowed items with ease.
