This is as comparable to Rams Horn as Charleys Crab was to Red Lobster….no comparison. Excelling steaks, salads were fresh, cool and so enjoyable. Service friendly and casual. Really don’t know why I didn’t know about this gem sooner. Highly recommended

Went to Golden Eagle last night with a couple coworkers and had a fantastic experience. Pat was our server and was so kind. I ordered the NY steak, which was cooked perfectly, and the twice baked potato was amazing. Highly recommend adding the Mario sauce, it really takes it up a notch. The rolls were also great, and I am already craving another Spanish Coffee. I live in Ohio, but I’ll gladly make the trip back up just go here again!

My favorite restaurant in Rochester! Always a good time with the staff, the food is phenomenal, and it’s just the coziest place to have a great lunch/dinner out. Plus the bred! Yum! Also seasonal item- Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake is worth every calorie!!!

We ordered the special menu ribeye, cooked medium, and it was outstanding. Perfect seasoning, juicy, and tender with a subtle smoky aroma that made every bite unforgettable. Now I understand why it’s the special—this is the place for steak.
For sides, I chose rice, which paired perfectly with the steak. Dipping each bite into the steak’s juices made it even more satisfying. The house salad with their garlic-forward house dressing was another standout—so addictive I’d honestly come back just for the salad.
Altogether, a flawless meal and an experience worth coming back for.

Went there last night and had the Ribeye special. It was the best steak I’ve ever eaten in my life and I eat a lot of steak as it’s my favorite. The steak is so good I reheated it today and it was still amazing. The service is always great. Do yourself a favor and check them out. This time of year they go all out with their Christmas decorations too which makes the place cozy and festive and will definitely fill you with the Christmas spirit.

What a great experience! Anthony was such a perfect and pleasant server. You need to try their Roquefort dressing, Mario zip sauce, shrimp scampi and top it off with the fresh creme brûlée. What a hidden gem with quality food at fair pricing. We will be back again as every time we visit, we try something new. Oops, I forgot the escargot is tasty too.

My parents have been coming here for years so that should attest for something. I personally have never gone here on my own just strictly with my parents. Not that I’m opposed to that, it just seems more of a family type establishment rather than a date night destination. The atmosphere is casual, like a step above a Rams horn and the menu has a pretty wide range of options to fit varying tastes. The service is always good as it is a family owned business I assume the staff is expected to meet a certain criteria since it is a family’s reputation at stake. The meals are prepared with a homestyle feel with nice sized portions. My daughter is a big fan of shrimp scampi and unfortunately she had to send it back last night as she said it had a soap taste. I expect this is a one off since we have dined here several times without incident and felt inclined not to mention it in this review but for the sake of transparency I decided to. This definitely would not cause hesitation on my part to return and I still completely recommend. On the other hand, my wife said it was the second best lamb shank she’s ever had, the first being a $100 meal in Los Angeles so take that into consideration. Prices are reasonable and and there’s good reason they have been in business 3 generation’s.
