The food is delicious and the buffet is reasonably priced. The staff clears your dishes quickly; and make sure to bring you more drink, without you having to ask. If you are looking for good Chinese food at reasonable prices; we definitely recommend Golden Dragon at Alps Road in Athens, Georgia.

Man, this place has fallen pretty hard. The only reason I come here is because the food is somewhat consistent. But prices have jumped so high and the old dinner combos are sort of nonexistent, as they explained to me. Not really worth the money on a regular basis. I was going to give this place 3 stars but they lost TWO because I ordered takeout and come in to see the lady at the counter playing with the trashcan lid … didn’t wash or sanitize … coughing everywhere without covering her mouth … and clearly having zero regard for customers right near the counter. I get it, some people have to work when they’re sick. But cover your mouth and use hand sanitizer. The bare minimum.

I moved away from Athens a couple of years ago. During this latest return visit I just had to reconnect with Golden Dragon! Since I was in for the evening I decided to order delivery. My fresh, piping hot Shrimp Egg Fu Yong was delivered 30 minutes later! The large shrimp in this dish was delish! Definitely recommend Golden Dragon and the Egg Fu Yong!

If I could give less than one star I would. My office ordered food today and we received a roach in the Mongolian Beef. When we called to report the manager laughed and said “it’s an onion” when you can clearly see the bug and all its body parts. Please see the pictures attached. Never will we be going back.

Very cool decor. Service has the attitude at times of, ‘it is what it is’, but honestly I don’t mind cause it’s not in a rude way, just in a- this is how it’s done way. Does that make sense? Anyway, very yummy food with great portion sizes. I think this place deserves to be more busy. They do dine-in, takeout and they have a buffet special.

Overall great Chinese food! Although my Asian friends mentioned that it resembled more of American Chinese food rather than being the most authentic option.

Whenever we come home to Athens, this is one of our go-to
spots for dinner. We always do take out so cannot comment on the dining in but to-go is always good quality and tasty. Try the Happy Family, Hot and Sour Soup, , Mongolian Beef or Kung Pao Chicken you will love it !

It has my favorite attributes of any local Chinese place
1) cheap food
2) super quick service
3) lots of Chinese American decor
4) fried wontons
These fried wontons were the best I’ve had yet, crispy, light, and toasty. They didn’t have the layer of oil that comes on some of them and were very crunchy.
My partner got the hot tea which was different from any other place too, this one was very floral with lavender and camomile flavors. I’m not a fan of either of those but he loved it!
My only complaint would be about the egg roll, it was plain in flavor and didn’t have many aromatics such as carrots, green onion, or garlic.
Everything else we ate we enjoyed thoroughly!

Ordered the pork lo main noodles and ate it and immediately felt sick when I got home. If you like to feel ill after eating do not go here.
