Love this place, great lo mein, love the general tso and double phoenix! Yummy spring rolls and egg rolls, very nice staff, food is always yummy and fresh and hot! Fried rice is also very delicious. Will be loyal patrons for a very long time!

I have picked up here for others multiple times and had high hopes when I placed an order for myself. Take this entire review with all the grains of salt I felt this meal lacked, as I’m from Chicago where food is amazing everywhere. The service here has not been great on every visit, but I’m used to that. However, it was very good when I placed my order and picked it up. I ordered two combination plates, crab Rangoon and a house combo soup. I really enjoyed the soup, although I’ve never had it before. It was my favorite part of the meal. I did notice the menu said cream cheese Rangoon and that’s what it was. No crab. But it was ok. Tried the empress chicken. Never had it before and really should’ve gone for something I am more familiar with. I will say, I did enjoy it more when re-heated the next in the oven. Ultimately, I was most disappointed with the (shrimp -extra cost) fried rice. For one, I’m used to the shrimp being standard, but ok no problem. Problem— It smelled and tasted like grease and nothing else. And I requested it extra spicy. No nothing! The other combination plate was better —steak and broccoli with (shrimp) lo mein. But that one was for someone else and still we jazzed it up a bit on the reheat. Overall, unlikely to order here again. Not blaming the restaurant, but the taste buds of the local community. This is clearly what they like and that’s ok. Also, while you can absolutely dine-in, I think it’s designed to be more of a take-out spot.

10-14-2025- So this was my first visit to Golden Dragon. I’ve driven by this place for years and never once gave it a thought. Today, I was in the mood for General Tso’s chicken. The lady behind the counter was friendly. My General Tso’s chicken was very good and HOT! Damn it was freaking HOT!!! The inside could use some touch up to make it inviting to eat there.
Overall I thought it was a pretty good value and I will be going back again the future.

A bit of a hole in the wall kind of place but it’s slept on. The food is a knockout. Everything I’ve had here has been good and most importantly, my kids love it too. Great spot for good food. Can’t go wrong picking this for lunch or dinner.

I used to go to this place when it was under different ownership. The prices are ridiculously high. I got a carry out and got all the way home and part of my order was missing. The young man said he would give me a free egg roll the next time I came in. That doesn’t cover my messed up order. The chicken I had was over done. I won’t go back again. They are more expensive than HoPing restaurant. At least there someone waits on you and the quality of food is really good. Buyer beware!

My husband has ordered from here for a very long time. The son or young man running the register is rude. He will ask you if you know where your ordering from and rush you through your order. When my husband tried to grab lunch on his way home from work they over charged us by almost $20. All because they said we didn’t specify lunch which he did. Then we get our food and it’s all wrong. 3 dinner meals and only 1 large rice. Won’t be going back…

The food isn’t as good as it used to be. I used to get food here quite often. Haven’t been here in years. This time it was just ok. And I couldn’t find shrimp toast on the menu. They used to have the best shrimp toast. I was disappointed they don’t offer it anymore. At least not through Door Dash. The fried rice is still good.

I’ve been going here for well over 10 years . It’s been a great place. This place used to be run by a couple, and it was great. However, in the last few months, the cash register is run by this young man, and I’m not sure if they have the same cooks, but he food used to be great and to put it simply its just not that great anymore. I bought some pork fried rice, and I am not exaggerating when I tell you that all the meat was pure chunks of fat, and I even found 2 pieces of bone almost lost a tooth. This is the second time this has happened since this new guy has been there. I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt but I’m sad to say that after all these years I won’t be going to this place anymore.

My family & I are a truck driving family. We have went thru alot of states. We have tried a few different Chinese restaurants. This Golden Dragon has the best the very best scrumptious chicken mei fun that I have ever ate!!! I still have left overs of other entrees that we bought. I wished I had more chicken mei fun! Lol… they did an amazing job I am looking fwd to eating the boneless spare ribs, chicken fried rice, and the chicken lo mein that is our left overs. Ty for stopping in! Please be safe on roadways.
