Absolutely amazing. The empanadas are on point and the biscochitos are the kind of thing you write home to Mom about. I’m at the business owner and this is the kind of guy I like to give my money too. Hard-working honest go-getter. The sweet potato empanadas or a Savory guilty pleasure that I can’t get enough of. Let’s go back.

Had the green chile crust pizza. Was delicious! They give out a free Biscochito cookie to try. Service friendly! Also had the turkey sandwich on green chile bread. Very good.

I stopped by to pick up some local treats to gift when I flew back home to visit. I wish I got some stuff for myself because everything smelled amazing. It was torture driving to the airport with the cinnamon sugar smell of the empanadas wafting through my car. I did give in and eat one of the empanadas. It was very good. The folks are crazy friendly too.

Food: I am sure they’ve done a good job, but sweet empanadas and biscochitoes are not my thing, I prefer churros more.

Service: the owner was very nice, gave us some free biscochitoes even though we just bought one apple empanada.

Atmosphere: the bakery is located in a suspiciously quiet neighborhood, doesn’t feel very safe. The building itself is adobe style with painted murals, giving you a hand-crafted, old-world feeling.

If you like empanadas or Mexican-style pizza, you probably should try it.

What a charming and unique little place! I am a Canadian visiting Albuquerque and my local friend brought me here. She had been coming for many years and highly recommended it. The place is small yet charming and quaint with very unique decor at a homey atmosphere. The young gentleman at the counter was extremely welcoming and kind to us. He greeted us with a free cookie as it is a policy for them to give kids a free cookie! This made us laugh, but made us feel very well. My friend ordered a personal pizza with a green chilli crust and I had a cinnamon sugar Tostada with a large coffee. When I placed the order, our friend serving us allowed us to see the tostadas being made in the back. So kind of him! The coffee was wonderful and the kind gentleman made it just the way I liked it. The Tostada was something very unique. It was crunchy sweet and a perfect pairing with my coffee . My friend’s pizza looked super delicious. We sat outside for a bit and then came to sit on the inside. Most people around us were families enjoying pizza. They sold entire loaves of bread as well as coffee to take home. They have a unique assortment of treats, including savoury treats, like green chilli and cheese twists. All and all I highly recommend this charming little establishment. I would probably be a regular if I lived in Albuquerque.

The Pizza and pastries were delicious, our server was very nice and pleasant to talk to and then before we left the owner gave us some complimentary cookies freshly made. Was extremely happy with the experience. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have been coming here a lot more lately and we always experience great customer service along with the exceptional food. However, today it was unexpected when the short blonde girl taking our order was noticeably rude. We kind of shrugged it off as maybe she was having a bad day, however after watching her with the people who were in line behind us, there was no doubt that it seemed more of a personal issue she had with us as customers. She greeted and thanked the other patrons behind us 2-3 times each. She went above and beyond with her customer service. She made small talk with each one of them and continued pleasantly chatting throughout their entire transaction. I felt so discouraged as a fairly new and frequent patron. The food is always awesome and if it wasn’t for the other people working there at that time, we probably wouldn’t return anytime soon. The young lady never thanked us at any time during the transaction and continued with her unsavory attitude until she finished taking our order. We will return again and again because the other people there were awesome and made us feel welcome. We spent about $50 and we always use the kiosk outside after hours. We would have given 5 stars no questions had the rude girl been equally accepting of us as she was with the other customers.

Well, this one was an unexpected experience. We came to try the biscuittos and wedding cake cookies. We left having met the owner and had gotten a tour lasting around a half hour.

Bathrooms are cool, and I enjoyed the sink design.

We would absolutely come again.
