The food was good, the crowd wasn’t too bad. I usually like chocolate fudge, which they didn’t have, but eventually white fudge came out. The steak, ribs, and creamed sausage were amazing, but the cakes left alot to be desired. The service was lacking at first, but towards the end we got great family-friendly service.

But I expected it shortly . I’m a beekeeper, and just like the buzz of a hive, there was a buzz behind the counter. Everyone knew exactly what they needed to do.No one needed to tell them. Everybody was standing guard, making sure that everything that was empty was soon refilled. It took a moment for the catfish, but boy, was it worth it. I miss my family’s Sunday dinner but dammit, it felt like it. Church had just left out, and so many of the people were dressed in their finest.
And they carried themselves using their finest behavior. No fancy restaurant
Could offer a more restrained, polite and appreciative group of people,
Nor a house full of employee’s intent on making sure everything was as expected. Thank you for an awesome meal and an awesome environment

We had a large group and used one of the party rooms. It was a bit chilly in there, but otherwise there was a wide variety of foods so everyone could choose what they liked. The steak was excellent and as one gueat said, “the potroast just melts in your mouth”! For the price per person you can’t go wrong. Military and senior discounts were greatly appreciated!

I really do enjoy this place. Never can go wrong with all you can eat! I miss the old prices as they have gone up this year. Understandable however! It was too good of a deal with inflation.
The food is good depending what you get. Things like pizza and other questionable foods are gross. I am for sure getting pot roast, fried okra, fried shrimp, potatoes, ham and probably the steak or sliders if it’s lunch. Then banana pudding and ice cream. You don’t eat the rest of the day after the Corral!
Place is typical Alaskan rundown but not terrible. Service is typically rough and bad to decent. Tip them anyway if it is busy.

On November 28th, me and the husband decided to eat at this restaurant because I haven’t had GC since 2014 on a field trip. My husband grabbed 3 plates of food and I’m typically a one plate at a time connoisseur. For the course I had ham, mash, and salad with some healthy toppings. Then I went onto my second plate. It had fried shrimp, rice with veggies and a tamales. For dessert I had carrot cake, fudge brownie, and peach cobbler. The food at the start was great! I felt great eating it but something felt off with me, I noticed no staff was checking temps on the meat, cold food wasn’t being checked and they just walked aimlessly inside the restaurant. After we finished our food and left the buffet, on the ride back home I started to feel ill and needed to lie down in my bed. I started to have a sore throat, then went to pressure on my face, frontal lobe of my brain and body weakness. If you’ve read this by now I’m “hopefully” recovered but it took just about 3 days for me to recover. Let’s this be a warming that if no staff is checking temps or the food seems undercooked, please I implore you to walk out of this restaurant, they do not care about customers health and could lead to serious consequences. Thank you.

Food is great for buffet status. Dinner rolls my fave.
It could be just me, but I feel as if the tables and chairs are close together. With pulling the chair out and hanging a jacket on the back of it, there is no walkway between to get up or able to get out if sitting in the center chairs of a 6-8 table.

As someone with hypermetabolism that eats around 4% of my bodyweight every day, when I go out to eat I go eat at a buffet.
And this golden corral is the best buffet in anchorage for around 16$ in the morning or around 20$ in the evening, this golden corral is great value. With great food. I recommend eating there if you are in anchorage.

Salad bar is always fresh. Good produce. Selection seems to have gone down a bit and they had a section they weren’t even using this time. But if you’d spend $15 @ McDs or BK, I’d rather come here and get a whole meal with veggies, grilled meat and desserts too. Healthier and just better options. The people who work the dining area are always really nice and helpful so I don’t mind tipping here! This time I got a box to take home for later. Adding: Get the carrot cake! You actually see carrot shreds in it and the cream cheese frosting is to die for! And their corn fritters are crisp on the outside, tender inside.. get the honey butter in the bread stand next to the desserts!
