These pictures will say it all. We paid, sat down and had our salad. I was thinking it was messy but worse than that. I spoke to three workers including the manager and was met with shrugged shoulders and no action. No refund and so I took pictures and left.
I have not heard from corporate yet but I wanted to warn my neighbors. There was a huge “back end” explosion in the bathroom, The caution cone was up but the door was open for all to see. The bathroom garbage can was nasty. The other bathroom stalls were just as disgusting.
There was a baby being held by its parents puking all over the floor, almost 3/4 of the tables were stacked with dirty dishes.
The food areas were disgusting as you can see. The picture of the cake stand shows its unbalanced and tips cake all over and makes things an even bigger mess. it was not funny watching people try to get some of it. The ice cream machine was leaking watered down ice cream all over the floor while people walked in it and staff just walked on by.
They had a lot of variety such as a salad bar, roast meats, fried meats, and plenty of sides. Overall the food was tasty and really well seasoned. My favorites were the meatloaf, chicken pot pie, fried okra, pinto seasoned beans, the mac, and the rolls! The churros were really good too. There was also an ice cream and slushee machine.
So many foods I didn’t get to try (fried chicken, fried fish, steak, salad bar, taco meat, etc. just because I was so full). Sometimes the food did run out, but they refilled items frequently.
The servers are also very sweet here! Susan was awesome.
I’d definitely come back again.
The atmosphere is very much reminiscent of a hospital cafeteria but with carpeting. The food selection was diverse but typical for most chain buffet restaurants. I was hoping to find “keto friendly” options but aside from the salad bar, there weren’t too many choices. I put as many foods under that criteria on my plate as I could and it was sufficient. If you have any allergies to seed/plant oils this is not the place for you. I did find my immune system triggered with a lot of inflammation from eating the salad dressings, the ham and other processed meats. I did “treat” myself to a little fried chicken, which tasted okay but didn’t help with my puffy face the next day.
The service was also sufficient and a few of the employees were friendly enough. With standard American food with basic Walmart brand food quality, only come if you’re too lazy to take food out of packages or want your processed food to presented in buffet fashion, which has its appeal sometimes. I had fun eating there but my body boycotts the thought of going back to soon.
The staff were really friendly and nice. Our waiter regularly came by to refill drinks and remove plates that were no longer being used.
The food was mediocre. I made myself a plate with buttered toast, mac and cheese, fries, chicken and gravy, and fried shrimp. Out of all the things on my plate, I only really enjoyed the Mac and cheese and fried shrimp most. The toast was super salty and overly buttered, the fries were kinda dry, and the chicken was cold.
My husband made himself a few plates and expressed he really enjoyed the carne asada, otherwise he couldn’t really finish much else on his place or thoroughly enjoy it. Our friend had grabbed some fried chicken who said it was dry. The dessert was also disappointing; the cheesecake has a sort of sour taste to it and the brownies were dry.
Overall, it was cool to try this place out but now I know what to expect and what to be careful of with choosing should I ever find myself eating here again in the future.
