I have been here many times over the years and my recent visit left me with a sense of “it is going to be a while before I come here again”. I get it, it’s a buffet. The food is expected to be average-good with a good variety of options.
FOOD:
I came with my two daughters at about 4pm as it was transitioning from Lunch to Dinner. The pizza was so dry. The hot dogs looked like they had been rolling for hours. I love Chicken Wings, but these tasted so “off”, I could not eat them. The meat behind the Chicken Wings looked like torn up shoe leather. The Carrot Cake looked like someone smashed it with their fist. They only had Vanilla ice cream, no Chocolate, no Mixed. The Pot Roast is surprising pretty good, I enjoy it every time with some Mashed Potatoes. The steaks….. are questionable. I am not sure which cut they use, maybe sirloin, but it has the weirdest texture and color. I tried to get a piece that was medium-rare. It was gray on the outside and a weird pink-purple in the middle. I ate a few bites and it made my stomach upset, quickly.
SERVICE:
The servers are always very friendly and helpful. I appreciate their service and I hope they are being paid well.
ATMOSPHERE:
The atmosphere is okay. When it gets busy, there can be a lot trash and food all over the place. The bathrooms are iffy. I do appreciate the hand sanitizer stations all around the food areas.
Overall, Golden Corral just doesn’t quite hit the spot for me anymore. My hope was to regain the nostalgia of eating at buffets when I was a small child, but that has not happened. I can no longer willingly recommend it anymore.

Ugh… I don’t know I just have to say based on my own personal experience and my taste buds and what I’ve come to expect, it seems like this place has gone downhill. I mean, they don’t even use salt and I get it but at the same time your food needs flavor. I mean servers don’t even come by to give you your utensils or get your drinks or refill your drinks.

We went there to experience the atmosphere and the food. The guy who served the steaks did it each time as if, excuse me, they were cut right off him. The salads were very good. The pastries were liked by the children. I can’t recommend it wholeheartedly, but it’s probably worth visiting at least once.

Went tonight for my fathers birthday dinner ( his choice) and there was 10 of us, the server/ waitress ( jazzy or Jacy, not entirely sure) was the rudest person I have ever met. I was waiting to see where everyone was going to sit so I can go to the other end of the table where there was more room due to having a stroller. She rudely and full of attitude said that we have go to the banquet room since there is more room in there. 1) she didn’t even introduce herself 2) she could’ve told us we needed to go to that room in a more polite and professional manner.obviously customer service is not for her.

The quality of food was terrible. Food cold, ice cream machine broken, had a real bad sulfur smell. Food cold, over cooked and undercooked. Even the salad was wilted. We spent over $80 dollars and soda taste like water. Not wearing gloves. This is the one on powers near Palmer park

We went yesterday for Thanksgiving, and we had such a wonderful experience! Even with the crowds, the wait wasn’t bad – they kept the line moving and we got seated in a reasonable time. The food was delicious, the service was great, the price was on-point, and we had an overall wonderful experience!! For a place we rarely go to, we certainly will be rethinking this the rest of the year.. Thank you, Golden Corral, and to all your workers that made this a great Thanksgiving!!

This was a nice place to eat at with family. Our server was extremely fast and very nice. I almost felt bad because he was zipping around so much. The food variety was decent. It was slightly disappointing for me since I can’t eat pork whatsoever. I have a severe pork intolerance so I have to avoid at all cost or else spend the night at the ER. They had signs indicating what contained pork which was so lovely. Most places I have to ask specifically. Unfortunately, that meant most sides and some mains I couldn’t eat. We went during lunch so they had pork steaks, burgers, and bone-in barbecue chicken thighs. They also had beef roast. I’m a pretty unlucky person so I expected all the stuff I could eat to be out but surprisingly whenever something was out, they were quick to replace it! It might not mean much to some, but it meant a lot to me. The desserts were plenty! Of course, if you’re someone who maximizes your buffet experience to eat a little of everything, this part of the buffet will leave you struggling to finish. The dessert portions are huge. A little sad the cakes frostings taste premade and cheap but the cake was very moist and fluffy. There was only vanilla for the ice cream, but it did hit the spot with the warm fudge topping. There were so many pies and cookies as well. The fudge brownies were probably the best part.

I eat there for breakfast once a month, it’s a group thing. Food is good, selection is amazing (seriously, if you want scrambled eggs, a Ceasar salad, fried catfish and pizza for breakfast, this is the place, lol). Staff takes empty plates away and refills applicable drinks we’ll, i don’t really care about “atmosphere”, it’s a buffet, not Applebee’s. If you’re hungry and indecisive, it’s the perfect restaurant.

Love going to this place. My wife and I go every year almost for Thanksgiving and it’s worth it. We don’t have to spend time cooking or preparing for dinner. They always have a wait on Thanksgiving, but the line moves fast and you’re in before you really have feltoke you’ve waited for a long time. The food was of good quality, flavourful, fresh, and plenty of it. I’ll keep coming back for Thanksgiving as long as you guys are open!
