As someone who frequents Golden Corral, especially on weekends and occasionally during weekday lunches, it’s disappointing to share that my recent experiences have fallen short of the standards I’ve come to expect.

On Today, Saturday April 26, I observed an employee named Lilly mishandle the food service in a way that concerned me. After waiting a while for fresh eggs to be brought out, I watched as she placed old, cold, crusty eggs directly on top of the freshly prepared eggs. Recognizing this as a clear food safety issue, I politely informed her that this wasn’t appropriate. Unfortunately, her response was dismissive, accompanied by an eye roll and a sarcastic apology before she walked away, speaking rudely about the situation to another employee in her native language.

This experience was particularly frustrating because it wasn’t an isolated incident. Over the past few visits, I’ve noticed a pattern of poor service: delays in replenishing food items, inattentiveness from staff, and a lack of proactive management of the buffet. Often, multiple employees are gathered in the back conversing instead of monitoring the food bar. Guests are frequently left to ask whether certain items will be restocked, and when questions are raised, they are sometimes met with attitude rather than helpfulness.

To be fair, there are a few employees who are welcoming, attentive, and genuinely enhance the dining experience. However, encounters like the one with Lilly have unfortunately overshadowed those positives, making it difficult to overlook the broader issues.

It’s worth noting that placing cold food on top of hot, freshly prepared items is a food safety violation, and the attitude displayed when it was brought to attention is unacceptable for any dining establishment—especially one that prides itself on family values and customer service.

As a proud service member, I continue to support Golden Corral for its initiatives to honor veterans like myself. However, I felt it was necessary to voice my concerns in hopes of encouraging improvements. Should management wish to discuss my experience further, I am more than willing to provide additional details.

Attached are photos from my previous lunch experience on Tuesday, April 22nd!

This place is a joke. Worst buffet in NWA. $70 for 3 people for dinner and food was cold and old on a Friday evening. There were only 3 tables occupied in our section and our waitress was too busy playing and flirting with the waiter to even realize we didn’t have a refill for over 15 mins. Had to get them myself TWICE. Also, I saw a lady putting out popcorn shrimp so I grab some after and they tasted like chewing on a rubber band.

Very disappointed with the breakfast. Obviously using fake eggs, which were gross. Could tell the difference even in the French toast and pancakes. Will stick to lunch and dinner from now on.

Went today for lunch and it was fabulous!

Once again lunch was awesome!

I really wanted to leave a review because my son and I went to dinner about 6ish 1/14/26 and shout out to the cashier! She was darling. The way she was speaking to everyone she was so kind and upbeat. People walked up looking blah and after interacting with her they were smiling.
We appreciate you girl!

Affordable feast, especially for seniors during the lunch buffet after 1 pm. The variety is great, though it doesn’t vary much. I particularly appreciate buffets because of the ability to avoid things that are unhealthy, yet not have to go away hungry. A growing trend for avoiding simple carbs like bread is much easier at a buffet. As much as I love bread, I gave it up, along with almost all grains 20 years ago, and based on my health compared to others in their 70s, I’m in spectacular health. (Zero BigPharma drugs, 20 pushups, sprints, still almost at highschool weight, didn’t fall for “safe and effective”, yet never caught “it” nor even a cold in the past four years.) Buffets don’t bring unlimited chips and rolls to the table. Same with vegetable oils, or seed oils. They are not absent there, but much easier to avoid compared to the ubiquitous Chinese buffets. Hopefully Golden Corral will eventually put up gluten-free and seed-oil free labels and even organics; unlikely soon, but hey, with RFKJr’s influence, maybe so. Until then, it is my favorite restaurant, delicious, affordable, clean, bright, pleasant, except perhaps for the music.

I usually go to the one in Fayetteville. But I decided I wanted to try the one in Rogers. And I am so glad I did. It was a much more pleasant experience. Not as crowded. Food was much better. And Mercedes (I think she said was her name) was so pleasent and kind.

Seven of us went for Thanksgiving this year and the lines moved fairly quickly even though we started outside. The entire staff was very kind and patient with it being so busy. Our server was top notch. She was very attentive and very kind. The food was delicious. Thank you.

Golden corral houses a meeting every Wednesday for the Rogers Chamber of Commerce, and the restaurant is always impeccably clean, the coffee is delicious, and everyone is very friendly. If you go there, be sure and say hi to Carla. Treat her well! She is an angel.

The food was pretty good for a buffet style meal. We went here because my stepson and his friend wanted to eat here, so we went here. I actually got a couple of pieces of their steak medium rare, and they were pretty good. They obviously weren’t 5 star steaks, but they were good and not gnarly or fatty.

Service was good, food was filled and resembles what you would expect from a Golden Corral. But we did have a roach crawl across our table as we ate and disappeared quickly before we could kill or snap a picture of it. So i guess eat here if you want but maybe dont have high expectations.
