The one that I’m writing about is Baton Rouge location on Millerville Green blvd. Omg worst please not good at all. I left an all you can eat please hungry. There was a heavy coat of dust on top of the salad bar, see added pictures. If they don’t care about cleaning the front of the restaurant, I don’t want to see the back where we can’t see. The server was nice. Trying to think of something to say that is good, oh the cookies, fudge, and pecan pie was good, I bet they are frozen and thawed not cooked here.

The people are good, kind, etc.
The food not the better, the mc and cheese it’s not the same that other golden corral.
The good is that the dessert were very good and with everything. In other golden corral the ice cream never works.
The thing they have to get better is the place, very old, dirty, it’s not like the other golden corral.
Also in new orleans the kids are free, here only the ones under 3.

My family and I had a pleasant time today at Golden Corral. Huge shout out to Shao, she was very sweet, helpful and consistent with our table! She made our experience 10x times better. Thanks to her and the amazing experience we will be here again!

UPDATE: A manager reached out to me concerning my last visit and listened to my concerns. We came back in tonight, 3/6/26 and had a much better experience. The buffet was fully stocked and the food was hot and fresh. The guy operating the grill did an awesome job. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
I would like to share my experience at this location. It was my birthday (2/19) and I chose to redeem my birthday reward. I have frequented this restaurant multiple times, but this particular visit was disappointing. The staff was courteous; however, the food selection was subpar and appeared to be just thrown together. The steak was tough, resembling rubber from a belt. The fried fish was greasy and falling apart. The fried chicken was not great either. I just ended up eating fruit and veggies. Overall, this was just a very disappointing visit.

This is a truly nice place. You can eat as much as you want. If you have a reward program, you will get points per visit, and with 100 points, you will get ten dollars off your bill they have an excellent selection of salads, meat, soup and desserts. Check some of my photos to get an idea of what it looks like . You can have unlimited drink there, the waiter will bring it to you .

They took away the good Mac and cheese it is just wet yellow noodles now. Most of the food is honestly not great, except the rolls. They’re pretty great. Ice cream is ok but would be better if a clean spoon was available. Employees are always attentive and helpful but the restaurant is not very clean and you have to go through like 5 plates to find a clean one.

My wife is from Mexico she loves golden correl. I ask her where she wants to eat and she will tell me american buffet. Where all american food is at. And we eat there at least 2 times a month and love it. But tonight at 5pm on 10/19/2025 it was something odd about the food. The fried fish, fried shrimp had a different taste than normal. The pot roast had a strange taste to it as well. She got a salad and she said the carrots tasted bad and the tomatoes had a strange taste to them to. I don’t know what it was we realy love their food but the night we did not care for it and the service was awful we had to keep asking for out drinks to be refilled. We went to get another serving of food and they cleared off our table thought we had left. We asked for refills 3 times before it was filled. We sat at the right side of the buffet in the back corner. Hope it is better next time

We just spent almost $100 for 4 people to eat tonight. When we got there, there was no meats to choose from besides steak & pot roast on the buffet for almost 45 mins. Our waitress was precious enough to go get some fried chicken from the kitchen, but when she brought it out, it had a burnt taste to it. I’m not sure if the oil was burnt, or if the chicken had been sitting & recooked, but it was not good. Probably won’t be back any time soon. That’s a lot of money for us in this economy & to not be able to enjoy good food is unacceptable.

Server was good… only good thing I can say about this place. Still had 1.5 hours left until close, no cooks at the grill. Instead they’re in the back eating the food that we payed for but can’t even get any lol. Back there eating it on paper towels. And then the icing on top….. we go back to the salad bar….. they have about 15 termites, dead and alive, just chilling on the deviled eggs. Told the manager and he was pretty unapologetic. Said the termites were attracted to the lights….. looks like they are attracted to the eggs to me. DO NOT EAT HERE!
