My first time at Golden Corral and I was quite disappointed. Service was good, but the food was definitely a hit or miss. Most of it was unseasoned or over salted, some of it was actually good. Dessert options were also very limited. Price is fair ($16.99) + drink ($2.99 with refill). Overall, we would not be back!

Best Golden Corral I’ve ever seen. Discovered it a few years ago traveling through Effingham. We always mark it as a place to stop when traveling through at dinner time. The only thing I don’t understand is why restaurants want us to listen to loud music while dining.

This is honestly the best Golden Corral I’ve ever eaten at. The food was so fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Drinks tasted good. Plates and silverware were actually clean!! Many food choices on the buffet. Very pleased and will definitely be back if I have the chance!!

The hash browns were not crispy enough. The corn bread didn’t taste like corn bread (turns out it was corn pudding). Crispy bacon, scrambled eggs,and biscuits were good. We came in at the end of the breakfast service, so we could try lunch elements too. Depends on how many stomachs the girls have today. I feel like I just had my oil changed.
The wifi was strong.

The salad bar was good. The food bar with meats wasn’t so good. It tasted like hospital food and most of the meats were dried out. There was a whole pan of fried chicken for which I was looking forward to having some and it was all thighs. There wasn’t much for a crowd at 6pm on a Thursday and I understand now. The price was too high for this food.

Many kinds of food available. Something for everyone. Looks nice. The fish and meatloaf are some of my favorites. I get them every time. They also have a good number of sides, like corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, and such. Of course, the rolls are also good, but you don’t want to eat too many or else you won’t have room for all the other good stuff. Make sure you get some ice cream while you’re there as well. I recommend the vanilla/chocolate mix. Been there several times. Enjoy it.
