We went here and had already each eaten a plate, when we noticed the waitress was cleaning tables then coming back to the clean dishes and laying the towel up against them, She then put those dishes on an empty table she just bussed then did it again with a different set of dishes (same towel) we were so grossed out. She also must have picked up silverware that was in a bag on a table she bussed and passed it back out because my fork in the bag was newly used when I pulled it out with fresh food and someone else’s saliva all over it she actually gagged. The waitress was inattentive never refilled/brought new drinks until we were leaving and then gave us water when we had sprite, As we were leaving she went to the bathroom and that was so disgusting. I am not even sure how they are passing the heath test . The trash can beside the toilet was so dirty she just held it and went to a gas station.

Golden Corral – Hermitage, TN: A Disappointing and Unsanitary Visit
My recent visit to the Golden Corral on 315 old Lebanon Dirt rd, Hermitage TN, was deeply disappointing and frankly, quite unsanitary. From the moment we sat down, the experience was problematic. Our table was dirty, requiring a request for proper cleaning. This was just the beginning of a series of issues.
Upon getting a plate, I discovered two pieces of wet bread stuck to it – a clear sign of poor dishwashing. Even after leaving these plates aside, a waiter inadvertently placed them back into the clean stack. The general cleanliness of the restaurant was severely lacking; I found dried cheese on bowls in the clean stack and food debris littered across the floor and the buffet bar itself. Despite customers sometimes dropping things, the lack of upkeep was evident.
I spoke with a manager named Simmon (who lacked a name tag) about these concerns. His only response was an apology and an unconvincing explanation about older patrons. This didn’t address the systemic issues. Even at the carving station, staff seemed more engaged in conversation than serving guests or maintaining the area. Having visited other Golden Corrals, I’ve always seen a higher standard of cleanliness and service. This location fell far short. I will not be returning.

Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Everything I look for in a buffet. The early bird senior pricing was a nice touch for my mother too. We really enjoyed our first visit to this location for lunch!

Great place with excellent food of all kinds & excellent service! Our waitress accommodated our needs as their was 6 of slid tables together & brought a high chair & viola we were comfortable! The atmosphere was a bit crowded but lines moved rather quickly. Bathrooms were clean thats always a plus! & they even had cotton candy for the kids amongst many other things.

This was one of those places where AFTER I already paid to eat I questioned my sanity for picking this restaurant. This section I was placed in was terrible. The service was terrible and honestly the only good food that came from the bar was the salad I prepared myself. I tasted a little bit of just about everything but don’t think I finished even the first plate. It’s just the “air” inside that makes a person uncomfortable. I asked for a slice of ham from the butcher and I don’t even think she understood a single word I said. There were some interesting dessert options but nothing too out of the ordinary. My personal favorite was the strawberry cake. I wish I could say anything good about my visit but even the bathroom was in complete shambles. I think the cleanest part of the restaurant was the foyer.

Golden Corral is an enigma in that you can eat as bad or as well as you want. Some of the food, in my opinion, is virtually inedible however there are a lot of items at the buffet that are worth the trouble. Just be selective and watch carefully that your selections appear fresh and not picked through.
I love the baked fish and have it every time I visit, if it’s available. It’s a touch salty, but very flaky, low in fat, and flavorful. Pot roast is also very well-done and flavorful. And of course there is always the sirloin, for which there is usually a waiting line. It’s decent enough if you crave some dead cow.
I also like the selection of hot vegetables which vary from visit to visit, but they are healthy if you want them to be. I include the broccoli (for which there is cheese sauce available), the cabbage, and the mushrooms. Tonight they offered brussels sprouts which looked simple and good; I just didn’t try them.
Salad options are endless so it’s easy to make up a good salad for almost any tastes.
There are many desserts always available. I like the apple pie a lot, when it’s offered, but the star of the show is definitely the carrot cake. It’s always been available when I have visited and it’s superb.

First off when you ask for a medium well done steak it shouldn’t be that challenging to cook. The cooks obviously don’t care about quality. The attitudes of the employees absolutely suck. I Remember when I would go as a child the atmosphere felt like Family. No spoons were available and Also the sitting arrangements are horrible, shoney’s had better. Hopefully they can improve on the issues stated.

Probably one of my least favorite Golden Corrals. Food selection was lousy. No REAL butter. I generally eat at buffets so I can choose keto friendly and fresh garden salad . Salad options were very basic. The vanilla ice cream was broken, runny. The fried okra looked burnt. The bathroom had a broken stall, floor was dirty. No paper towels to dry your hands. Water didn’t get warm,so you had to wash your hands in ice cold water. Every napkin dispenser on the tables looked like kids had ran their food covered hands on them. The best thing about it, my waitress was super nice and was hard working. She kept up on drink refills and checked in often.

I have not been to a Golden Corral in over 10 years. So me and my son decided ,Why not?! And I will tell you why . It used to be affordable but 2 dinners and 2 sodas $50 bucks . Ok so food costs have risen I get it. Let’s start with the atmosphere this location has a bunch of employees that thinks their job is a joke, customers asking for certain temperatures on their steaks were ignored and laughed at. Elderly woman in wheelchair trying to find assistant was ignored. Now let’s talk about the food. Downhill is not the word, a steak approximately 5”x5” had 1”x1” of edible meat the rest is grizzle and fat and tough as nails . The flavor of meat tenderizer overpowers the cheap cut of meat . The meatloaf was literally falling apart in the pan all you can do is scoop up the crumbles. The sides were flavorless and either over or under cooked. This restaurant chain just don’t care any longer , TIME TO SHUT ‘ER DOWN!! Because only god knows what they are doing that you can’t see!
