They are still in the process of remodeling. The interior is finished. It was a much needed update. It looks so much cleaner and nicer than it has in a long time. The service is always excellent. You can tell all the workers are diligent in keeping food on the ready for the buffet. I like the fact that the buffet allows people with different tastes to find something they like. My husband loves meatloaf. I’m pescatarian. It’s a great place for us to find something for our diverse tastes. I would prefer they didn’t season most of their vegetables with meat, but that’s why I’m glad they have salad bar and fresh fruit available. It was a good meal.

I’m sure everyone has been to a Golden Corral buffet at some point in their life. So I’ll say this. The location was clean, and the servers were all very busy and constantly moving cleaning tables and getting people’s drinks. My food was decent, but I only ate certain things when I visited a Golden Corral Buffet. I love the pot roast , the fried chicken is always good minus the fact that no location ever has enough wings. My last menu item is the little hamburgers they are always tasty. So I guess for 14.00 dollars I spent it was worth it. I’m sure I will be back to a Golden Corral at some point in the future unless they take a drastic turn for the worse. ♂️

Been to a lot of different golden corrals but this one was pretty nice. We usually got before 4 to get the lunch price and everything was still hot and fresh. They had some stuff that I haven’t seen at other GCs like pulled pork, cheeseburgers, grilled cheese etc. Would I pay dinner price? Only if I KNEW I could put away like 10 plates worth.

For years, Golden Corral has been my favorite place to have lunch, in large part because of their rolls. The day that I went, the rolls were hard and small size. This alone ruined the meal, but also the fried chicken was greasy and the mashed potatoes had an off-putting taste. Overall, the quality has gone down–like the money I spent–down the drain. The only thing that was decent was the water I had–Meal not enjoyable! The ice-cream machine didn’t work and also, the floors are dirty.

Pros of eating here: the lady who takes our refills was super sweet! & the biscuits were delicious.
Cons; it smelled so bad when entering the sitting area, the carpet needs to be replaced, yall need new chairs they are literally tearing apart. The food was extremely stale (we were there around 10 am so there’s no reason it should be stale) & the staff at the front could smile a little more on a Sunday? This whole establishment needs a serious upgrade.

I come to the Lakeland location for breakfast versus the Winter location all the time. The differences are the Lakeland location has steak on the buffet, the bacon is cooked well, the sausage gravy is better, they have booths and chairs to sit in! The manager is always working, helping out, and I can tell he cares about the customers and their experience! The staff is great too! And Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner is amazing too! Everything one could have on the table at home, plus some, that one would have for holiday dinner! It is well worth the drive!

Its the food. There is no love going in the food at this restaurant. Most golden corral restaurants are great but this one is not the same. I’d rather drive 25 minutes to the zephyrhills store which is fantastic than 10 minutes to lakeland.

A good location with decent parking. Food was good except the meatloaf that looked like it needed to be replaced with fresh. Pot roast was very good. I would go again.
