I visited Golden Corral recently with my friends.
Overall, it was a pretty average experience. The food was okay—exactly what you expect from a buffet. Some items were decent (the fried chicken and yeast rolls were good), but other stuff, like the pizza and some of the vegetables, was a bit lukewarm and bland. Nothing amazing, but nothing I couldn’t eat.
The main thing I noticed was the smell when you first walk in. There is a very distinct, heavy
“meaty” smell in the air that hits you at the door. It takes a few minutes to get used to, but it’s definitely noticeable.
However, you really can’t beat the price for the variety. If you go in with the right expectations-knowing you’re paying for quantity over quality-it is worth the money. Just don’t expect a fine dining experience.

We had a large party of 28 planned at 6pm. We were situated in the last party room on the left. There was plenty of food still on the buffet. The variety was great. These that had steak said it was cooked just right. Everything was excellent. Wait staff came around with beverages. The noise level would have been quieter if both doors were closed. It was surprising, the price hike but that is our world today. Management is very nice but make sure to double check reservations for your group. We were posted for the next day. Good thing we double checked.

The only reason I posted the one star is because Stephanie was a kind and lovely waitress. I would never come back here, the food has gotten worse since I was here a decade ago. The tuna had no taste, the corn muffin wrapper was stuck to the bread and was incredibly stale. The baked potato was brown, very unappetizing to look at, I’ve never seen a potato that brown, as if it was sitting there for days. The bread was a tough, I guess I came a little later, but I wasted my money. It cost $16 per person not including the 2.99 drinks. I barely liked the funnel cake, it was not fresh. The baked ziti was overcooked. The cheese sauce that came out the pump looked disgusting and nearly brown. There nothing I liked on my plate. I came with high hopes because I used to love this place, so I was very disappointed. If your food is not fresh, do not charge people this much.

Stephanie my biological mother is a great server. Eyeworks there briefly their food is amazing and in this economy it’s the best bang for your buck. I didn’t see any roaches any bugs it was very clean.

Came to dinner around 4 and it was very busy! There was a baby shower and large party of people arriving from a funeral, I believe, and even with all the chaos and people our waiter was very attentive! Their food was good, I will say the steak was a bit tough in some areas and the chicken was a little under cooked for my liking, but overall a nice dining experience.

This place is absolutely DISGUSTING!!! I came here with my family for breakfast and I don’t think I’ll ever come back here again. The tuna had NO flavor. The waffles weren’t even fully cooked. Their bathrooms are also very disgusting. Overall, the only thing good about this place was our server. She was so kind. I absolutely do not recommend if you dont want your belly to break down.

I visited GC near Camp Lejeune w/two other Disabled Vets. Without a doubt this location provided our best experience a decade. The serve, delicious food quality, especially Pancakes with a warm berry topping were great. I wished GC’s in VA’s Hampton Roads area provided Southern-tasting food w/large military-laden folk from all over America.

This was my first time going to Golden corral. My husband and I had a great experience! I left in pain from how much I ate though only come here if you’re ready to go into a food coma for the rest of the day.
The people keeping the restaurant tidy were very nice and consistently were checking on us to make sure everything was good.

I came to eat with some of my friends last minute. Food stayed fresh and hot. Our server Nyiola was very respectful and kind and always kept our drinks full. Tables were kept clean.
