Best location to eat at. They have everything here . Irene is our server and shes really good nice and friendly . Ontop of her refills and keeps her area very clean. Started coming here earlier this year and have been coming regularly now. Great flavorful fresh food . Even on weekends I’ve made it in for their breakfast. Check it out if you’re in the area you will not be disappointed.

It was okay. I’m giving 3 stars, and here’s why:
First, the renovation looks amazing. The wood tones, the stone wall with the fireplace, very cozy and inviting. The seats were decently comfortable too.
When we walked in, the ladies at the register were just… there. Not rude, but not friendly either. Total for our family of 3 came to about $59 — $18.99 per adult (dinner pricing after 4pm), $12.99 for my 10-year-old, and $8 for drinks. Pretty standard.
Tip: get cash back at the register if you plan to tip your server; I always forget!
Now, let’s talk about the dining experience. It was crowded, but hey, that’s expected at Golden Corral.
What really dropped the experience for me at this location was the food quality. The cucumbers were cut ridiculously thick, and the overall prep just seemed careless. They did a decent job keeping items refilled.
While we were eating, the manager had to make several loudspeaker announcements asking staff to clean up, vacuum, restock bathrooms, etc. That was a little uncomfortable….felt like we were eating in the middle of a staff meeting.
As for dessert; my go-to items are the banana pudding and apple cobbler. Sadly, neither were available, even though the signs were still out. When I asked the lady at the dessert counter, she responded with a very snippy “NOT TODAY” and kept it moving. Not the vibe.
Shout out to our server Zuzu, though. She was pleasant and attentive.
My daughter summed it up perfectly: “I wish they put as much effort into the food as they did the renovation.” She LOVES Golden Corral and barely finished one plate. That says a lot.
We’ll stick with the Burlington location moving forward; much better all around.

The food was over all not good for $40
Fried food was overdone and at 7:15 for a new okra and old dark okra was brought to the table. Will not be returning. My family used to eat here all the time before the remodeling and the food is fantastic.

This Golden Corral is the best location. It was so clean and the food was delicious. We came toward the end of the night and the staff was cleaning like crazy. You can smell the cleaning products when we’re about to leave. All I can say is keep up the great work with the food and maintaining your location. I definitely recommend this location. Thank you for a wonderful dinner and clean environment.

Edit: June 30, For everyone who doesn’t know Golden Corral is finally reopened. Looks great, staff is still friendly, food is still great with a good selection at a really good price. My waitress, Miss Sam, was courteous, friendly and stopped by frequently to refill my tea. Will be coming back often.

A new Golden Corral and it was loaded with fans for grand opening today. Despite the crowd staff was friendly and efficiently moved the crowd through quickly. There are lots of options on the menu and many selected the buffet.

If you are looking for a great buffet with a very wide selection of food, all of which is -ok- to pretty good this is your dream come true. Unlike many of the chain the food is hot, properly prepared, and the restaurant is very clean, lite, and spacious. Price for election is very good. Staff is attentive and they have plenty to cover all the needs of table service and keeping the bar at top notch. If you enjoyed Golden Corral in yesteryear you should treat yourself here, and if not empty for the very ample food.

Personally did not enjoy anything I tried. Maybe my expectations were too high. The orange chicken was way too salty and I decided to try the rotisserie chicken, it wasn’t cooked properly and smelt like raw chicken. That made me very nauseous, hence couldn’t eat anymore. It was my first time ever visiting a GC and it’s safe to say I will never be going again.

Our own Golden Corral in Texarkana is a great place. The Golden Corral in Durham is better by far than ours. Every single item that we tried was exquisite. From the salad bar to the dessert bar. We came here on Thanksgiving Day after picking up my in-laws from the airport. The place was packed, and I would not recommend coming on a day like this. The price that day was $20 per person because they had Thanksgiving meals on the menu. Overall, the food was good and fresh since everything was selling quickly.
