Julie is an absolute star. Every single time I walk through the doors, she is the first person I look for. She is incredibly welcoming and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy.
We also want to give a huge shout-out to Marisol. Both she and Julie are attentive, kind, and make sure we are completely taken care of from start to finish. It’s rare to find service this consistently excellent, especially during a busy Sunday morning rush.
If you’re stopping by, definitely look for these two! They make you feel right at home.
Unfortunately, the food did not match the level of service. It was lukewarm when it arrived, and by the time I received all of my items and sat down, it was completely cold. I came for breakfast and paid $16.42 (including a drink), which felt overpriced considering the quality and temperature of the food.
I also had an unpleasant interaction with the young lady at the register, Norma. She came across as rude, and my friend noticed she was on her phone having a personal call at the register. I usually don’t mind what staff do as long as they provide kind and professional customer service, but that was lacking during this visit.
That said, Cece absolutely saved the experience. She did an amazing job and deserves recognition.
When the food is actually good, you still have to deal with workers who clearly don’t want you there, like Norma. She was rude when we first walked in, and I found it interesting that she didn’t speak or ask us anything about our service needs once we got to the register. But later she was super chatty and loud on the phone with her friend while supposedly still working. Usually the service is just okay at best, which is fine since it’s a buffet.
Last but not least, there was a wonderful server named CeCe who was very attentive (unusual for this Golden Corral) and really kind. She was waiting on 3 or 4 tables at once and made sure to check on every guest. I was impressed because that’s hard to pull off. She was also respectful and very nice to the elderly people around her. If I was rating her alone, I’d give her a 5/5, but like I said, everything else gets a 3/5 overall.
It’s setup similar to how Chinese buffets are arranged, but instead of plates being at each food station, there is only one area located separate from them where an employee gives them out along with one plastic glove. Diners are expected to use it when handling spoons to fill their food plates. I imagine it gets a bit crazy during busy times with this kind of system rather than being able to get the plates yourself. Salad bowls, soup bowls, and ice cream dishes are self-serve at their respective stations.
The food is typical Golden Corral with more variety I’d not seen before at some food stations. While everything tasted okay, it wasn’t the best. The lunch price for seniors was right tho, just $10.99, and included the beverage.
Our waiter was very nice, attentive, and kept the plates cleared throughout our visit.
Stepping into the newly remodeled Golden Corral in Greensboro is like entering a culinary wonderland! The fresh, modern decor sets the perfect stage for a delightful dining experience. The staff welcomes you with warm smiles and impeccable service, making you feel right at home.
The buffet is a vibrant palette of flavors, as seen in my delicious plate with tender chicken, crispy fried bites, and a medley of fresh veggies. Each bite is a celebration of taste and quality. The salad bar, filled with crisp greens and savory toppings, offers a refreshing start to the meal. And don’t forget the sweet tea—perfectly brewed and refreshing!
Conveniently located just beside the I-40 interstate, it’s an ideal stop for travelers seeking a satisfying meal on the go. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Golden Corral’s inviting atmosphere and delectable offerings make it a must-visit spot. Treat yourself to a memorable meal where comfort food meets exceptional service!

Safe travels and enjoy your visit!
Edit: The actual reasoning for the smaller size is Golden Corral shrinking some of their stores for the matter of efficiency and to save money after covid on expenses which is unfortunate. I haven’t been to another small Golden Corral so I can’t say if another small one would be any better.
