Well. I don’t like waiting because no one can think clearly. Ten tables available, we waited 15 minutes to be seated for two. Only after I asked why do we all have to wait for a table to be made for eight? Oh we don’t do that. Well. You just did. As the line went out the door.

I’ve been there many times. My recommendations are a salad, pot roast and the fried chicken are my favorites. Seasonal roast turkey always good. Fried shrimp not bad. Veggies are just ok, Desserts are pretty good, pies and cakes. (I’m usually pretty full by then but lots of good choices if you have a sweet tooth) I used to be able to pack it away and got my money’s worth. I just don’t/can’t do that to myself anymore. I still enjoy them once in a while. They closed the one close to me in Chesapeake VA so a bit more of a drive to go there now. Lot’s of good food for the price. I really enjoy making my own plates , not overly fussy I just like things a certain way. Most of the severs have been there for a while and do a good job. I usually go just before 4 for the best deal.

I can’t really say anything extremely great nor negative about this place with the exception of the service. I know the wait staff is a bit overloaded but I had to ask four times for a drink refill. The food was “basic”. For the plate cost and on top of that you want to change extra for beverages is ridiculous.

For the price, the value just wasn’t there — both in terms of taste and variety. The staff were polite, but overall, the experience was below average. I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon. I was really disappointed with the food quality. Most of the dishes didn’t taste fresh.

Food was good for a buffet. My only issue was the fat content of the steaks. My first steak was about the size of a woman’s hand. Only 2 fingers worth was edible. The rest was fat. The 2nd one I got was a little better but still fatty. You’d say it is a buffet but the GC in Greensboro,NC, the steaks were perfect and 100% meat.
Interior was a little dated and seats are close to seats. I didn’t see any booth seating.

What is going on here in Virginia Beach. Service is bad when you can’t get drinks without an attitude. The worst is the waitress was training. I may need to take a break from rating. The manager was not helpful

I had a pretty good experience at Golden Corral. Our waiter was very attentive, even though she was juggling multiple tasks at once. She made sure to refill our drinks promptly and kept our table clean, which I really appreciated. The food overall was tasty and was refilled quickly, so it was hot and ready to enjoy. The desserts were just okay…nothing special. One area that could use improvement is the bathroom, which could use some attention. But overall, a solid dining experience with friendly service!

The place is very clean and the service of the waiters is very good. I don’t give it 5 stars because I have been to other Golden Corrals and they have more variety of food. Something peculiar that I saw is that in the other Golden Corrals that I have been to they don’t have Stewed Beef Liver and Fried Chicken Liver, which seemed a bit bold on their menu and they tasted very good.
