Possibly the best Chinese food in Greater Flint. Lovely portions, fantastic flavor. Especially the fried rice, it just had so much life and depth without being overdone. Honey garlic chicken was top notch, the chicken itself isn’t winning any awards but it’s consistent, meaty, flavorful, and a great base for the star of the show, the sauce.

Got sweet and sour chicken, rice and an egg roll to go for lunch today. Evening was great, except the sweet and sour sauce had zucchini (I think) in it that was sour, and almost tasted fermented in a way? Didn’t affect the way the chicken or sauce tasted, just didn’t seem right. Service was great, the lady who took my order and cashed me out was very pleasant.

Tried this for the first time tonight. I did not know they also had a drive-thur, that is handy. The food was great and the price was a wonderful value. Very clean and friendly service. If you want a good local Chinese place then try this out!

Do not let the exterior fool you. This is some of the best Chinese Food I have had in the area! I’m not going to lie; the exterior is rough at best. But that in no way translates to the food you receive!
I ordered the General Tsao’s chicken lunch special. It was $4.50. I paid a small up charge to add chicken to my fried rice, and a dollar to purchase an egg roll. The lunch also comes with soup of your choice, which was Egg Drop for me.
The amount of food I received for just over six dollars was ridiculous. It was enough to feed at least two people for lunch. The chicken was delicious and the breading had a good flavor. The rice had peas, carrots, and huge chucks of chicken mixed in, the egg drop soup was very good, and the huge bag of crisps to put in the soup was just right. Nothing bad to say about the food at all.
The woman who took my order and gave me my food was very nice and even cracked a few jokes toward herself when she realized she forgot to give me a spoon for my soup.
All in all, it was a great experience and a great lunch. I will definitely be going back to Golden City in the future!

Hate to say it because this place was my favorite but it’s so bad now. My boneless chicken today was inedible. The crab cheese was old and reheated, the fried rice was just meat and rice. Chicken was burnt and melted the container. Gravy had zero flavor. Sauce for crab cheese was in a 2oz cup. The two packets of soy sauce weren’t enough to add flavor. Seriously concerned about the crab cheese. Hope I don’t get sick.

Prices were good for the amount of food! I got the almond chicken and it was super dry, hard, and chewy. I wasn’t impressed but I may have just picked the wrong dish. Pickup was quick!
