Horrible experience. We were seated immediately, where we spent most of our time waiting to place our order and waiting for our food to arrive ( we ordered nothing complicated and only 3 other booths were filled in the entire place). The order wasn’t correct, and the waitress ( the only one staffed at the time) took our waters to refill and never brought them back. When she said our orders were going to be corrected, they weren’t. The place had awful service and wasn’t clean. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If your going to spend that much on Chinese food, take my word for it and go elsewhere!

Finally, GREAT Asian food in Calabash! We’ve eaten here several times now and tried new dishes every time. Everything we’ve tried has exceeded our expectations. Food is really fresh with great flavor. Highly recommend giving them a try!

I’ve only been living in the Sunset Beach area for about 4 months and I work in the Southport area. One of my favorite Americanized Chinese dishes is Sweet and Sour Chicken. However, the thing that makes this dish special is when bell peppers, onions, and pineapple are cooked with the chicken. I’ve visited 6 different Chinese Restaurants in Southport and Sunset Beach/Calabash area and the only one that provides these goodies with the S&S Chicken is Golden City. In addition, the vegetables and pineapple come in big uneven chunks, so they are most likely fresh.

This place was very good. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was that the table was not very clean when I arived. Everything I got was very good especially the sesame chicken and the chicken sayta. The bathrooms were clean and the food was delicious. I would eat here again for sure.

The staff is super sweet, but the food not so great. They barely give you any meat in their dishes… It’s all veggies. Which is great but I didn’t order bourbon onions…

Food was delicious but wait on opening night very lengthy. Staffing not sufficient but people very nice. Unfortunately some people left prior to service because of the wait time. They don’t know what they missed. Would recommend giving them another try.

So happy to have a new option in the Calabash area for Asian Cuisine! Sampled a little of everything with the Bento Box, the sushi to the pad thai was great! Service was quick and friendly as well!

I usually take out food from here being a single person on the run. I live in Calabash now for 12 yrs from North Jersey/NYC area. I was so excited when I first stepped thru their doors! Totally redecorated, super Asian Fusion Restaurant, and what a chef!! Cooks with real vegetables, crisp and you can ask to modify spicyness on those type of dishes. Thai, Sushi, Speciality chef dishes, as well as Chinese food. Always large portions, so be prepared for leftovers! Everything super fresh! No way is this your typical boring Chinese food! Get yourself to this place ASAP! You won’t be sorry! So happy to have a NYC style Asian Fusion Restaurant move here!
