Idk maybe we went on a bad night. A Wednesday in feb. Not the best and not the worst but it was my first and last time eating there. The food look good. But its lacking a lot of passion and it sucks when youve had good chinese food then theres places like these that kinda set you back. The lady at the front cool. They seem like cool people. But the food needs more character. And it done seem like they puttin any money into that place so im over it.

Last night was my first time trying this place and it was some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. It’s very close to the Chinese food I miss in New Jersey. Egg rolls and chicken wings were cooked perfectly, very flavorful and crispy. Shrimp fried rice was seasoned just right and the hot mustard sauce was actually spicy! I also appreciate their friendly customer service. Will definitely eat here again.

The people here are very nice, but the food is bad. I started eating here when I first moved to North Carolina and it was good, but now the food is bad and the food I got today was definitely old and smelled extremely sour to the point I threw it away. I got sick from them before and stopped buying and figured ill give them another chance, but now I know to stay away. Be careful getting food here. Old grease and old frozen rice and meat that they warm up basically.

The eggrolls tased great, however the oil tasted really old and needed to be changed it ruined the flavor of the food. They had been pretty busy all night long. Several people waiting for their food. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken and the oil taste just over powered all the flavor. I’ll give it a second shot but that oil taste really killed it . Had to add soy sauce chile and sweet and sour sauce to get that lingering old oil taste out. Ordered their large (quart) of beef fried rice (~$9) which was below average and caused stomach issues.
The beef fried rice only had rice, beef and onion – not like other fried rice. There were no other vegetables or egg, and the rice was hard and brittle (even for fried rice).

Unfortunately this is the 4th time I have been sold old food. I liked this place alot & the lady is usually very polite but after these last few visits I will not be returning. It’s a shame that you want my money but wont give me fresh food. And since you cant complain or get refunds from these places I just will take my business elsewhere. If you want fresh food, good service & great options, Great china In brier creek is exceptional. Tonight we decided to give Golden another try & was extremely disappointed.

Burnt shards of fried matter rather than sweet sour chicken. Do not go near closing time. If I had been able to go back before they close i would have. Little to no chicken. Pics tell the tale. Sweet and sour sauce was good,it didn’t have a bad taste but they should put more for the larger portion. Fried rice was fine. The low mein was horrible I would not recommend it to anyone. It’s like over cooked angel hair pasta and pretty gross. Egg rolls are good and this place is good for the area as far as Chinese take out goes.

Food is definitely lacking. I order fried baby shrimp wit shrimp fried rice with a side order of wings. $14 and change. Taste bland rice is soft and they literally gave me my 6 shrimp that’s supposed to be in the rice on the side. Never again
