I have tried three times to give them a try since closing the buffet and it has been terrible every single time. I love Lo Mein and that was all I ordered and it had the worst flavor ever with a piece of cabbage here and there. I asked if I could add vegetables and the lady that owns it acted as if I was asking for something extremely difficult. That was the last time I will even try to give them a chance. Money wasted and calling to give my thoughts will do no good. I wish it was like it was when they had the buffet. It was always fresh and the food tasted so much better. Very disappointed.

Good food at a great price. They are fast and affordable. Great for catering or large parties. Family style dining. Great local spot. I highly recommend the shrimp mei fun or general tsaos chicken.

My customer experience was very good, this is my second time coming here. I was just looking for a Chinese restaurant near my job site. The amount of food is very well served, good quality from what you’d expect from a Chinese restaurant. Great price, lunch prices are unbeatable. I got curry chicken with onions (salty but good) and a kung Po chicken. If I’m ever around this area, I will definitely come back.

Golden China is a great place to get local Chinese food in Appomattox. They have a wide variety of choices and the owner, Bill, is very nice. They also have a buffet option with a lot of different food. I would definitely recommend coming here.

First off, it’s no longer a buffer despite the sign out front. Food was good, not great. Staff was super friendly. The restaurant overall looks like an absolute disaster, like they tossed it during the pandemic and never put it back how it belongs, just opened the kitchen back up. Dicey.

We just ate here for lunch, and I definitely will be returning soon. My lunch special was Szechuan Chicken, and I definitely would recommend it! The portion size was perfect to enjoy for lunch, and we even got to speak with the owner, Bill. This restaurant is located conveniently near the Kroger in Appomattox where I like to purchase groceries and gift cards. Next time we go to Golden China Restaurant I’ll remember to take a few photos and add them to this review!

Under new ownership… better check your order before leaving. 3 out of 4 times, something will be wrong. The taste and quality has gone down hill tremendously. They need to close and bring in a new group. I sure am gonna miss Bill running this place. It’s not the same good Chinese food we have always had
