As a first time goer, I may or may not be back. I’m still deciding….
I tried the chicken sandwich combo with some mash. The taste was surprisingly good! A big piece of chicken, but the bread was a little cold. Big soda with the combo so that’s a plus!
The lady at the counter was kind of rushing me, and I may have ordered something different if I had more time.
My high top table was cleanish, but the floor was kind of sticky.
The restrooms were a little dirty. Plenty of parking. Easy going in, a little more difficult getting out.
Overall, not super impressed, but the food was decent for the price. Can’t complain too much. Service was quick. 4 stars mang!

My husband ordered take out and the whole order was wrong, we live outside of Edinburg and its very inconvenient when they tell bring the order back, so we can fix it, you pick up food to go home and relax from getting out of work and then they give you a hard time to give you credit like if its your fault, the manager that works there at golden chic has an attitude and telling my husband that people just call to get free food, as a manager she needs to have more respect because not all customers are the same, a manager that doesn’t respect should not be a manager. She did not want to give her name but I just saw other post with the name by Ruby, make sure you check your order before leaving because they will sure give you a hard time on making it right. When they are at fault.

The short haired manager got a attitude bigger than her, my roll was like a rock and she gave me a hard time for another one, I asked for extra sauce turns out they increased the price for them and made the portion cups smaller what a rip off. The only decent location is the one in McAllen

I love this location on Sugar Road, Edinburg. They are always friendly, the place is always clean. Food is delicious and hot. I wish I would of taken pictures of my food, but it was so good, I gobbled it up, LOL! Thank you!

This was our first time trying Golden Chick. And let me tell ya we were looking for a Bill Miller style chicken and that’s what we ended up getting. We absolutely loved how it is so crunchy, well breaded and juicy on the inside. We wanted the family 15 piece mix but they were out of chicken breast. No problem! Management helped us out with a discount and bc it was a our first time we did get samples. We will certainly be back for that delicious golden roasted chicken. Everything was freshly made and the service was top notch. Thank you team for making us feel so welcomed through the drive thru.

I dont eat meat/chicken.. but my son does, and he loves coming to Golden Chick. They have great prices for their combos. I do enjoy ordering macaroni, fried ocea and one of their rolls for myself. My son also says they have the best fries. 🙂

For some reason I always go for their chicken tenders, they are really warm and good tasting. They have a decent menu. Their raspberry lemonade is amazing, I always drink it and the rolls are so soft you can eat them like cotton candy. We get food from here at least once a week. And the fries are amazing, they feel like they are baked instead of fried, which makes it seem as if you were eating healthy. I do recommend this restaurant.

My go to place for some rolls and sweet tea BUT I think the catfish portions/size can improve. This is the second time I try the catfish and it definitely will be the last.
