We really enjoyed the food. The chicken is moist and flavorful, and the fried okra and mashed potatoes and gravy were good.
My only complaint is that you cannot order family bone in chicken for pick up or delivery. Their website only gives you the option of chicken strips and sides, and the same with any delivery company.
I’d like to give them a full 5 since the food and service was good, however limiting the online or delivery orders to chicken strips only is very frustrating, otherwise it was really good for fast food. If they fix the online/delivery limitations, I’ll gladly revise my rating.

When I went in I asked the young lady to tell me what boxes she had she left. Coleslaw, jalapeno peppers and the rolls we’re good but my impression of the chicken I think it was fried twice. The crust was very hard

I love Bush’s Chicken but they are hard to come by nowadays. I have been to a few Golden Chicks over the years and their style of tenders with gravy is very similar. I saw this GC and had to come try it for the nostalgia (I don’t eat a lot of fried foods anymore). I was not disappointed. The staff was courteous, the food was hot and fresh and the restaurant was extremely clean. I don’t have any pictures of the food bc I inhaled it but I go the 3pc tender combo, 4pc tender combo, 2pc tender kids meal, a brownie and 8pc jalapeno poppers (all spicy). It was sooo good and around $40. Def worth the stop. This location also seems fairly new.

First time trying Golden Chick. Got a family 12 pack of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and okra. The rolls were killer and the chicken was good. Okra was a little soggy for my taste and the mash was a little bland. Take their hot seasoning and mix it in the potatoes, though. It is worth it. it was all rather enjoyable and I am curious to try their roasted chicken aswell, next time.

This new GC is on point! I enjoyed watching the employees behind the counter work well as a team to move the customers through and serve their food quickly. The chicken, wings, coleslaw, and rolls were delicious! I let the manager know how well of a job his team was doing. I hope they keep up the good energy the longer the store stays open. I’m glad that there is one closer to me now. I had to drive to Orange before, but now I don’t have to. Thank you for another good experience!

During this visit, I had the opportunity to sit, eat my lunch, and speak to the area manager. He told me about the company’s growth and how and where they are expanding. It was an interesting conversation. I tried the Lemon Pepper wings, and they were good, but the Wicked Wings are my favorite. I had some extra rolls to add butter and honey to make one of my favorite desserts.
Update: It’s still one of my favorites for an inexpensive and good meal!

Coach Sam and his team are always on point. Not sure if anyone has tried the breakfast, but is is awesome. Best sweet tea in TX. Tenders are the very best, don’t have to drown them in sauce to choke them down. Great all by themselves.

I recently left a review about the customer service, and it wasn’t nice. The food was cold, and the staff seemed to be annoyed especially the manager on duty. I know this review won’t affect the outcome of the services provided but if the manager on duty doesn’t like their job, please quit. There’s no shame in taking pride in a job. The two bright spots in all of this were the rolls and the cleanliness of the restaurant.

I’ve frequented here several times. Typically I would pick the food up but this time son picked the food up and they forgot the macaroni in the bag. My husband was like no big deal, but I’m like no we paid for it, I want it. So I go back to the store leaving the food at home to explain that we didn’t get the macaroni the manager was borderline accusatory that I was lying. Sir I live past Major and Folsom. My receipt clearly shows this was about 20 minutes ago. Why would I come all the way back up here for ONE thing of macaroni after already paying almost $40 for food. Oh I was hot. So after arguing, he gave me the macaroni in which I paid for. I asked for the the Store Mgrs name and number. He gave me a first name and told me to complete the survey/ QR code on the receipt and oh baby I did.
Stay with me. I completed the survey and the manager called me back in 10 minutes. Well as he called we were literally just sitting to eat, the now cold chicken , only to see it was not all the way cooked. I explained to him the macaroni mishap. My displeasure with being inconvenienced with having to return to the store and being accused of wanting a free macaroni and to top it off the uncooked chicken. Long story short. He offered me 25% off my next visit. Can’t make this up.

We tried this place for the first time and was not disappointed. We had a little wait…not bad because we order wings and they were fresh. 10-15 minutes to our house…still hot. The lemon pepper and original hot were so good. The rolls, I had to put them up because fresh bread is my weakness. I was expecting mediocre, but I was wrong. I hope it wasn’t a fluke.
