Tried Golden Chick for the first time, and we ordered the Wicked Wings and the Southern Fried Catfish. We loved their signature Lotta Zing Spice they used on the wings. Staff was super friendly, and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Will have to come back to try their fried chicken.

Service was good!!! Food was terrible! Too salty to eat, breading was burnt on one end and uncooked on the other end. Roll was burnt. The dirty rice was not the same or even good like before. Ok that was twice I gave them a chance. No third visit.

I had such a lovely experience thanks to the wonderful customer service I received. From start to finish, Tisha was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made me feel welcomed and valued, which truly made my day.

Tried Golden Chick for the first time today AND probably the last time. I ordered 6pc “spicy” and was extremely disappointed. The “spice” seems like since seasoning they throw on at the last min and it didn’t even coat all the the chicken. Some spots has an overabundance of seasoning while most the other parts had none. It’s like the just dump a small container on the chicken when they plate it. If I order spicy chicken I would at least like to get spicy chicken. Service was quick after I ordered it but I won’t be going back. Id rather get spicy chicken from other chicken locations.

First time to eat at the Golden Chick in Port Arthur. The drive thru line was long so I went in to order my food. Very nice inside and very employee was smiling and was working as one team. The chicken was moist, rolls were fresh and delicious, tea was delicious and mashed potatoes with gravy was flavorful. The wait to get my food was less than 5 min.

Ordered the 3 piece tender and they were a little on the skimpy side but came out before I could finish paying at the register I sat down and as the manager Sam walked by I grab his attention and stated that i thought they were a little small and he agreed and explained he was training his staff and this was important to him and the restaurant that the customer was happy. He brought me a couple more tenders and a fresh roll to go with it. Definitely will be back!

Very good visit to the “Yellow Chicken”, that’s what my grandson calls it LOL. The experience was great.I ordered take out from inside and got plenty of help from Keisha. The female cashier was one of the coldest I’ve ever met. I ask how she was doing and got ignored. Could totally tell she didn’t want to be there. The food was great. If it wasn’t for the rude service, I would have give all 4 or 5 stars!

EDIT. They did increase the portion size of their chicken which I appreciate now if I could just get these deal that the other restaurants are offering I might come back because I didn’t care for the spice y’all sprinkled on my chicken… cook that in man don’t be lazy.
If this small container of sweet baby rays bbq sauce (horrible choice for bbq btw) is 1.5 oz like it says right there on the label, how many oz of chicken do you think this is? I’ve only been here twice and the first time the strips were three times the size so idk looks like they are skimping out on portions right off the rip (which is completely legal btw). I cmon the French fries were nearly thicker than the strips lol I might try there one more time because let’s be real there’s no shortage of chicken on 365….

Tonight I visited Golden Chick for the first time and I was really impressed with how fast and efficient the service was. My order came out quickly, fresh, and exactly how I wanted it. The manager, SAM was especially great, very friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. It’s not often you come across managers who take the time to make sure every customer feels valued, but Sam definitely did. He said the dirty rice was great and I would want to come back tomorrow for more, and he right about that!
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
